Clary's POV

I don't know what to do with myself, Jace has been gone for 5 months. For these 5 months I have barely left my room, had hardly a human interaction. I know I am supposed to be strong but I can't. Since there is no communication between us and them on the battlefield, my brain has not been kind to me. He could be dead, he could have been dead this whole time and I wouldn't know. Not knowing is the worst pain in the world it is like I can't escape my own thoughts. I wanted to stop thinking about this so I decided to sleep. But before I could I was brutally awakened by Izzy screaming my name, I darted out of my bed and raced to her location. When I finally found he she was in a vacant room in the Institute, it was originally going to be a lounge but it never got built. "What?" I panted. She pointed to the wall. "Look." I gasped at the sight. It was a portal forming. "You think it could be the warriors?" I asked franticly. "This is where they left 5 months ago." It wasn't really the answer I wanted but she was right there was a chance that it could be the warriors, which meant Jace. We both took a few steps back as the portal grew. After a few seconds of waiting the 1st person came through, it was a  shadowhunter I had never met before, after him there were hundreds of men and woman pouring out of the portal. The only reason I wasn't in this war was because I wasn't fully trained yet. Not fully trained my ass, I've been through hell and back and I am not fully trained. I let out a sigh and rolled my eyes. I was looking through the crowd, no one looked familiar until I saw Alec. I ran to him pushing people out of the way, while running to him I was pushed out of the way no one other than Izzy. She ran into his arms. When I finally got there I didn't even have to say anything. "Jace is here." Alec said instantly. Those three words made my heart skip a beat. After hearing those three words I raced through the crowd looking for Jace. After about 5 minutes of searching the crowd died down to where no one was coming out of the portal, and everyone was getting situated. By this time Izzy was helping some of the shadowhunters into the infirmary, while Alec called Luke and the others. I was now loosing hope, until in the corner of my eye I saw him. "Jace!!!" I called out. He looked at me straight in the eyes. It was like a dream, I was so happy I almost could not comprehend what was happening. I could feel tears streaming down my face. I ran to him so fast I could not keep up with my legs. He ran to me too. When we collided into each other it knocked the wind out of me, but I didn't care all that mattered was that Jace was here with me, in my arms. He squeezed me so hard I swear I heard something crack. After we broke away I looked up into his beautiful eyes. "Clary....." He just looked overwhelmed. "I know." I said and pulled him into me, clashing his lips into mine. I tangled my hands in his golden hair, and he put his hands on my waist pulling me in closer. We were both so close together but we wanted to be closer. It seemed as if close wasn't close enough. I broke away. "I love you."  I said out of breath. He looked at me straight in the eyes. "I love you." We started to kiss more but then he broke away. "No Clary, I love you, like a lot." I giggled. "And I love you like a lot ......so show me." I said as he pulled me into his arms.
