Chapter 11

Jaces POV
We both just laid in bed together, staring up at the ceiling. Each of them processing their thoughts when Clary interrupted, "Jace?" She said solemnly his eyes meeting with hers. "Hmm?" "Can you tell me what's going on?" I thought for a second. "Please. Your going to be off escapading about you owe it to tell me." Shes said convincingly looking at me with her big puppy eyes. "Fine. Fine." I relented finally, taking in a deep breath. "This whole thing started when threats were sent to Idris expressing a hostile takeover, the council thought nothing of it seeing as there was no proof whoever this was, was serious." "Ok" She said a tad confused. "But then members of the council were disappearing. After a couple weeks we found them all dead, it was a gnarly sight. The attackers left the same threat as before but this time it was real, so we took action. More and more attacks kept happening until we finally captured one of their people, it took some time but eventually they cooperated. We were lead to their base and we wiped out almost all of them." "So why do you have to go back?" "The leader escaped, and left all their plans behind, which wasn't a mistake it was a warning." She looked at him grimly her eyes filling with tears. "So-" "So you're going to track down a person that's power is mostly unknown by your damn self." "I'm gathering intel." "Intel?!!!" "Besides I'm not by myself." "So that makes it better?!" I grabbed her pulling her closer to me so that I could hold her hands. "It's the right thing to do." She scoffed. We sat there for a minute her rolling her eyes and sighing, getting up from the bed she was halfway to the batheroom when she stopped. "Screw you for being right." I laughed "I love you." "Uhhuh"
