Chapter 9

Jace's POV
I followed Clary into the Institute to find her sitting in library in an armchair that was twice her size. "Clary?" She didn't answer all I heard was her sobs. "Cla-" "Leave." "Clary." "Leave I said." She choked out. I didn't budge. "Fine I'll go." She got out of the chair and headed for the door but I stepped in front of her. "Move." She hit my arm it didn't hurt but she meant it. I still didn't move. "Move" She cried raising her voice. "I'm not going." "MOVE" She yelled through her sobs. "MOVE" She repeated, hitting me over and over again. "I'm not going to move." I said as tears streamed down my cheeks, it hurt me to see Clary this hurt.  She lifted a fist at me but before she could hit me I caught her fist and pulled her close to me, my hand in the small of her back I looked in her eyes they we're red from all the tears that she had shed. "I don't want to lose you, I can't lose you" She stuttered out, tears still flowing from her eyes. "You can't leave .....please don't leave me." She wept. Making the tears fall more furiously from my eyes. "You know I hav-" She pulled her lips to mine. I moaned in surprise, kissing her back with force, tasting the saltiness from her tears. She broke away. "I'm sorry..." She cried. " I just can't.... I just love you so much and I don't want you to get hurt." I cradled her face in my hands. "I love you I will never leave you." "But..." "Shhh." I pulled her to me and we clashed into each other. She pushed me up against the door, as I kissed her neck. She tangled her hands in my hair and I started to lift the hem of her shirt.  She stopped me and broke away, she looked at me her face was red with embarrassment. "I don't want you to see me like this." "Like what?" She scowled. "You know." She pointed to her pregnant belly. "You look beautiful  Clary, no matter what." "Ok sure." She said as she rolled her eyes. I then took her surprise by grabbing her wrists and now pushing her up against the door, she yelped in surprise "I love you." She whispered to me, sending shivers down my spine.
