I back up into the bed, and stand right next to it. I stare at Peeta with hard eyes.

Peeta looks nervous. He clears his throat. "Look...." He takes a deep breath. "We don't have to do it."

I shake my head. "We don't really have a choice."

"Yes, we do."

"No we don't! We have to because if we don't.." I wince. "PRACTICE.... we'll look like fools in the arena."

Peeta doesn't say anything for a long time. I don't know how long it has been, but we stare at each other. His eyes are filled with discomfort, nervousness, and something else.... it was staring into me, reading my thoughts and fixing me, calming me down.

I slowly sit on the bed and pat the spot next to me. He hesitates, then slowly move his way over to the bed. He sits right next to me and shifts nervously.

I roll my eyes, and grab his arm with my hand. "Chill." I say firmly. He looks at me and his eyes hold me captive. His face is so close to mine, that I can feel him breath on my cheek. We stare at each other, once again, for a while. This time, I study him, from up his face, making my way down to his chin.

His dusty blonde hair, his nose, eyes small, his lips full. I stare at his lips for a minute, trying to picture me kissing him.

All of a sudden, I start leaning in. Just at the moment, I want to kiss him. I don't think. I close my eyes.

Then connect his lips with mine.

I feel Peeta stiffen for a second. Then I feel his lips move with mine. I felt his arm goes around my waist and that makes my heart starts beating faster. I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling us closer. After a couple seconds, we pull away.

Woah.... I start to grin slowly. And giggle. Then laugh. Peeta starts to laugh with me.

"What was unexpected." He says chuckling. I nod. "I didn't think I could do that." I replied with a grin.

Kissing isn't that hard. It makes me feel good. Maybe... just maybe it won't be that bad, having sex with Peeta.

I sit at the dinner table, filling my plate up with different foods. Just looking at the rich, expensive food makes my mouth water.

If I win the Games, my family could have all this.

I smile. My goal is to try to make the best out of the worst. Think positively.

I sit across from Peeta, who looks at me with a smile. I smile back, then focus on my food.

"Well!"

I groan internally as Effie enters the room, clapping her hands. "Hurry up! We're going to be at the Capitol in 30 minutes! Chop chop!"

I roll my eyes, and quickly eat my food. When I'm finished, I go to my room, and change my clothes into something presentable, a black dress, a gray sweater, gray sandals and my hair up in a somewhat messy bun.

When I'm done, I meet Peeta in front of the train. All of a sudden, I'm nervous. I clasp my hands together to keep them from shaking.

I guess Peeta notices my nervousness and pulls my hands away from my own grasp, and intertwined his fingers with mine, holding them tight. He leans his head down to my neck, right in front of my ear.

"You'll be fine." He whispers. Shivers run down my neck. I nod slowly and straighten my back.

"One more minute!!" Effie walks into the room, making us jump and break apart. I blush as Effie stares at both of us. "You know.... holding hands would be good for attention." Her mouth folds into a smile.

I don't move, but Peeta makes his way toward me and grabs my hand.

"Much better!" Effie laughs and goes to the doors of the train. "Are you ready?"

Before I can even answer, the doors open wide. People are screaming and pointing, and cameras flashing. I squint my eyes to be able to see everything. I squeeze Peeta's hand tighter as we walk through the crowd. It takes us a long time but we get to our rooms.

When we enter, I let out the breath I was holding. I let go of Peeta's hand, find a chair and collapse on it. Peeta chuckles at me and sits
next to me. "You ok?"

I nod breathlessly. "Yeah."

I feel his hand on my face and he turns it. He smiles at me, then kisses me. I sigh and kiss him back. Everything that was on my mind, the Games, the people, and the killer headache, disappears.

What a painkiller.

"Um...." We jolt apart at the voice. Haymitch stands at the door, mouth wide open. His mouth closes and slowly turns into a smirk. "I guess this is going to be easier than I thought."
