Ya, ya I know I haven't updated in who
Knows how long. But surprise, surprise I finally updated in what seems like forever....yikes!

Chapter 3

"Surprise," Kimberly says with a smirk. I look at Chase he looks...so scared. I hear Kimberley start to chuckle and then it turns into a laugh.
"Oh the looks on your faces, no matter how many times I see this expression it never gets old," She says with a sigh. Chase and I look back at her confused, thinking the same thing.
"What do you mean 'it never gets old'," We say in unison. She looks up at us laughing, her grey eye changed once again, now it was a bright neon yellow.
"Oh, do you think this is the first time this has happened? Oh no, I've been doing this for...hmm...100 wait no...200 years...ya that sounds about right...or wait-" she says, facing the sky with a finger to her lips.
"200 YEARS," I shout, Chase stares at her looking like he is about to faint. Kimberly examines us, as the neon yellow fades back to grey, she scratches her head and her grey eye flashes a forget me not blue, before returning the light grey.
"284!" She shouts victoriously, "I've been doing this for 284 years but, been on this planet for 300." She says.
"What? So your immortal, or what?" Chase says, completely confused. Kimberly sighs.
"No I just don't age, I technically died the day I obtained my magic. I'm like a kill able, human like, ghost. But there is only one way to kill me...which you guys don't need to know, at least not at the moment," she says with a slight smirk, sending chills up my spine.
"Wait...why do you do this to people, how many lives have you ruined. You have been here so long yet..."Chase says, starring at Kimberly, tears watering in his eyes. Kimberly starring right back with no trace of emotion whatsoever.
"Yet...why would you give up your life just to ruin others..." Chase says, starring at Kimberly, who had her head down and bangs covering her eyes. She looked up at him her grey eye blood red once again.
" YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW OR WHY I OBTAINED THESE POWERS! AND YOU NEVER BOTHERED TO ASK ME! YOU JUST ASSUMED I KILLED HIM!" She yelled shooting an essence at Chase's head, she walks up to him, catching his body just before he collapses. I sat there staring in horror looking at my friends still body.
"I didn't kill him. I just put him to sleep, he'll be perfectly fine. He always is...Gosh how evil does he think I am." Kimberly says, cradling Chase's sleeping body.
"Come on let's get you two home." She says with a warm smile.
On our way to Chase's house I wanted to ask her how she died...but I don't think I'm in any position to ask her anything. I mean look at poor Chase...pasted out in the arms of a 300 year old girl with the appearance of a 16 year old. Not to mention the strange powers she has, and her eyes...I mean I've never seen anything like them.
"I'm surprised you haven't already fainted or asked about your new wings. I expected you wouldn't remember anything..." Kimberly says, handing Chase over to me, so she can unlock the front door to Chase's house. I look over my shoulder to see that the small pair of wings, grew a little. Now that I think about it, I don't know how I'm going to be able to live a normal life...I can't believe such a little decision, caused my entire life to change within a matter of seconds.
"You know I didn't mean to...at least not today. She says.
I stay quiet, placing Chase on his couch. My poor friend stirring in his sleep his expression became scared. I can imagine the nightmares he is having. Then I notice Kimberly starring silently at Chase, before switching her gaze to me.
"Kimberly how did you die," I say, in a soft tone, hoping she won't take any offense to it.
She stood up, and walked up to me not breaking our gaze. Her grey eye switching to a soft Sakura pink. Her arms, slowly wrapping around me, as I stood there motionless as she held me tightly in our hug.
"That is a story for another time, if only you could remember" she says, looking back at me, tears flowing from her Sakura eye. She leans closer and slowly plants a soft kiss on my forehead, before I feel my eyes get heavy and my body goes limp. I can slightly hear her voice.
"I forgave you, so please just remember..."
Before I can hear her last few words, everything goes black.
