Chase and I follow in after Kimberly. She grabs an unlit torch from the wall, lighting it with her match. We walk through a small corridor and enter into a large cave. I can't really see anything, but I have a feeling that we aren't alone.
"Where are-" Chase asks, as Kimberly quickly turns around and covers his mouth with her free hand before he can finish.
"Be quiet...you will see now," Kimberly says in a whisper. Her eyes go wide, as a watery substance falls from above and lands on her shoulder. We slowly lift our heads up, and we are greeted by two glowing eyes and a demonic growl.
"Hide!" She yells, handing the torch to Chase and shoving us into the corridor.
A huge stone creature pounces down, pinning Kimberly under its paw. I panic making no hesitation to grab the torch from Chase's hand, light another torch, then I launch it at the creature. It turns its attention to us letting out a loud growl.
"JACKSON YOU IDIOT! NOW IT WANTS TO KILL US!" Chase yells shaking me by my shoulders.
The creature makes its way over to us. It growls reaching its paw into the corridor, searching blindly for us. Suddenly it grips the wall as if it was being pulled away. Sure enough it loses its grip and is dragged back into the cave.
"Nynx! Just because you had an order doesn't mean anything! I am still your master and you will obey me! If you dare attempt to eat me or those two idiots again you will be put in the punishment corner! You got it!" Kimberly scolds the creature, with her hands on her hips.
The creature lies down with a yawn. Kimberly gives the creature a slight smile, walking up to it and places a kiss on its nose.
The stone creature starts to crack and crumble, the stone flakes off revealing a cat-like creature covered in grey fur with black stripes and a white spotted stomach.
You could tell this creature wasn't anything close to normal, due to its unique features. It has three dragon-like tails with a crystal shard on each end, and has small twisted antlers placed by a pair of oddly shaped ears. Also its eyes were mismatched colors, one is pitch black and the other is a glowing white.
It gets up, running circles around Kimberly. It nudges her, obviously wanting attention. Kimberly gives a slight chuckle, then it turns into an all out laugh. This is probably the happiest I have seen her.
"Nynx get the lights please." Kimberly says calming down a little. Yet still smiling.
One of the shards on the creature's tails lights up, then all at once the torches along the cave walls light up. Making the cave a lot brighter and navigational.
I look around, the cave which seems more like the ruins of a base. The staircases, leading to the rooms above, had fallen apart. The walls were full of cracks, and debris was scattered across the room.
To the left seemed to be a huge library. The books were scattered around, papers and letters covered the floor. Above the library was a wooden door with a rustic iron orb in the center.
To the right was a training area, or what was left of one. The dummies were ripped to shreds, straw was laid out across the floor and debris covered half the room. Above that was another door, except it had smoky white orb.
On the far side of the room was an armory. Weapons lay scattered across the room. On the center wall was a huge map of what seemed to be a kingdom or town. A small blacksmith station in the corner of the room. And an entire wall was lined with armor sets.
Above that were, black double doors with a big cloudy green orb in the center. It seemed ominous like it was calling me towards it, and a little voice in the back of my head wants me to answer its calls.
'Go on...it won't hurt to check'
It kept telling me...Over and over...
"What's in the rooms up top?" I ask. Kimberly looks to the rooms above, and something struck in her eyes...it was like a mix of anger, fear, and sadness.
"Come," Kimberly says, climbing up the rubble and to the area up top.
Chase and I follow Kimberly up. She heads to the door above the training area. As soon as she touches the handle, the entire door falls off its hinges.
The room was a disaster. Debris was everywhere. The dresser was flipped over. Papers and sketches were scattered across the floor. Along an entire wall were cracks amongst cracks, it looked as if it would crumble at any given moment.
The only thing that looked unharmed was a lone armor stand on the far side of the room. It held a beautiful set of titanium armor. The only flaw was the gaping slit in the chest plate.
Kimberly examines the room with a gloomy expression, then slowly makes her way over to the armor set. She runs her finger around the slit, and places her other hand in the same area on her body.
I turn around and see Chase looking at a paper. I walk up next to him and look down at the paper. It seemed to be a drawing of the other Chase in training. He just stared at the image blankly, his expression showed no sign of emotion. After a few more moments, he threw the paper back on the floor and swiftly walked out.
"Chase?" I say following after him. He stops, not facing me, "Where are you going?"
"Just wanted to check out the other rooms! Come on," He says, facing me with a smile on his face. Then he swiftly turns back around and heads towards the door with the rustic orb.
As we pass the black double doors, the little voice in the back of my head got louder.
'Go! Open it! You know you want to!'
It kept shouting...almost in a demonic tone...
I deny the temptation and continue following Chase.
Chase touches the door, and the rustic orb turns to shining iron. The door slowly creaks open.
Chase just stares into the room, his entire body trembling. He falls to his knees, and holds his head. Then he lets out a blood churning scream, which turns into a devious laugh.
"Kimberlaina!" Chase calls out, in a cheery voice.
