I sit in the middle of Kimberly's room seeing , at least, one of the same three people on almost every sketch. A few caught my eye, like the one placed on the closet door, there are knifes, arrows, and darts stuck to the one sketch covering the persons face.
There is another interesting one on the back of her door. It is kind of scary. It seems to be a couple...an all to familiar one to be exact, an axe separating the two. The brown haired boy wore a smile, so did the blonde cheerleader beside him.The couple...it has to be me and Addison.
I run over to the sketch on her closet and remove the weapons. No. It's Addison. Her cheery smile pierced with arrows. What does Kimberly have against her. Addison hasn't done anything to her...has she?
"Oh god my head! What happened?Where am I? " Kimberly says sitting up. I stare at her, waiting for her to notice my presence. She looks around scratching her neck. When she finally notices me, a bright red blush drowns out her pale cheeks. I motion to the sight of sketches around me. Her blush gets darker.
"I-I CAN EXPLAIN!" She shouts, jumping off her bed. I cross my arms and let out a sigh. This is just strange I don't think there is a good enough excuse for me to believe.
"How are you supposed to explain why you have so many sharp objects in my girlfriends face!" I say pointing at the sketch of Addison. She flinches back, shock written all over her face.
"GIRLFRIEND! HOW COULD YOU-WHY DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHEN YOU DONT EVEN REMEMBER WHO I AM!" She yells her grey eye turning red. She picks up a knife and launches it at the sketch of me and Addison, hitting me in the center of the forehead.
"Remember you? I met you two days ago! How could I forget when I have these!" I say motioning to my wings, as I do pain shoots up my sides. I let out a groan and hold my side. Her eye goes back to the usually shade of grey.
"Hm...oh ya. I guess, I forgot how reckless you are. If only you would remember." She says, walking up to me. She lifts my arm and pulls up my shirt, revealing a bloody, purple bruise.
"Sorry...I just-you wouldn't understand" she says, with a sigh. I look at her confused. She shakes her head.
"If I tell you, it would complicate things even more. Besides its not like you would believe me. You have to remember...on your own." She says walking to the window pulling off the boards one by one.
"On my own? What do you mean?" I ask. She lets out a long sigh.
"Never mind you will eventually figure it out and face palm at this moment, and others....But anyways sorry about this mess. I wasn't expecting any visitors. Here lets patch you up ok." She says walking into the hall, I follow closely behind. The windows unboarded themselves as Kimberly walks past them. The rays of sun make the house a lot more navigational.
She leads me into a large bathroom, and reaches into the cabinet pulling out a first aid kit. She motions to the counter as she rummages through the package. I sit down, as she pulls out a bandage roll and a washcloth.
"Take off your shirt." She commands as she wets the washcloth. I do as she says, my side aches with every move I make. When she turns her attention over to me she lets out a sigh.
"What in the world happened to you? You haven't been this badly injured since-Uh never mind that just tell me what happened." She says as she wipes the blood and removes the a few splinters from when I hit the tree. If I tell her what really happened she might zone out like in the forest I don't think that would be good for either of us.
"I accidentally ran into a tree during-Oww! That-" I say before she cuts in.
"Cut it out I know what you are doing! TELL.ME.THE.TRUTH!" She says applying more pressure to my wounds qmaking me yelp.
"Okay! Okay! I told you about the dreams I've been having lately, then you zoned out, when I tried to snap you out of it you yelled and then kicked me into a tree." I say, she releases me. Her breaths were uneven she looks like she is going to faint.
"I...I remember now. I'm sorry I didn't mean to. You have to write down what you dream tonight. Bring what you write down to me in the morning."She says pulling me into a tight embrace.
When we separate a tear streams down her cheek and her grey eye is now a Sakura pink, but soon fades back to normal. She quickly wipes the tear and finishes bandaging me up.
"Before you go I want to show you a room it might flicker a light bulb."she says leading me into another room and a particularly large one to be exact. Kimberly pulls the boards off the windows. The evening light shines in, revealing the paintings and murals lining the walls.
One is of a black haired girl in armor standing in a forest clearing and across from her blonde boy and black winged boy. The girl looks ready to strike, yet the two boys looks completely calm.
Kimberly walks up beside me and stares at the painting, a small sigh leaves her lips, and she walks over to the one in the center of the room. I follow her and look up. It's the biggest painting in the room.
The three seem to be in the middle of a battle. Their opponents had serious expressions. Other fights were happening around them and a few corpses scattered the floor. Flags were being burnt and blood stained the three's outfits. Everything about the painting was gruesome, everything except the smiles on the three's faces.
"I can't believe how stupid I was...to think...that we would win this war without any sacrifices made...that we would all go home and live happily ever after...that we had nothing to loose...how didn't I think that things could have ended up the way they did?" She says, a tear rolls down her cheek. I wipe it away, and she looks at me shocked. Bright blush covers her cheeks.
"You can't be doing stuff like that! You have a girlfriend REMEMBER!" She says storming out of the room. I follow after her into the main hall.
"Kimberly what's up with you. What did Addison ever do?" I ask. She turns around, her grey eye turned red.
"That something else you have to remember...But long story short, she has something I lost, a long time ago. Something I would kill for...but I can't...and if I let it go, when you remember what it is...you will be heartbroken...and you might actually disappear from existence!"She says almost yelling.
"Well...I don't want to die... But I love Addison, so please try not to kill her," I beg. Kimberly flinches back a bit, the red in her eye turning darker.
"I can't make a promise that I can so easily break...now get home. I'll see you tomorrow, and if you don't want to see me spill her guts...keep her out of my sight," she says, each word feels like a dagger piercing my heart. Her eye, looks as if it could burn holes through my soul. I step away cautiously, her glare remains unwavering. Shivers run down my spine as I walk away from her house.
As I get ready for bed, I find myself examining my wings. They now reach down to my knees. I run my fingers through my feathers, it feels so relaxing. The events from today seem to just fade away. I feel a small prick, and notice the small feather that fell to the floor. Something was different, unlike the others it had a green tip.
Just like the dead body in my dream...
