We had a snow day today, so I didn't have to go to school today. I guess that was good because I got to sleep a little more, but I hate having snow days because now I'm worrying about all the classwork that will be pushed until monday and all our plans to do certain lessons today in class were changed. Oh well.
I didn't get out of bed until 11:45, and it was only to grab a quick snack from the kitchen. I went back up to my room and have been here pretty much all day. Except for when my dad made me shovel snow, which sucked.
Anyways, now that I'm done complaining, I wanted to talk about something.
Do you guys ever compare yourself to others? I imagine most people do, and most of the time it is not in a positive way. You might compare your looks, your actions, or just your life situations in general.
I tend to compare my life situation to other people's quite often. I feel like my situation is more ideal than a lot of other people's, and I feel guilty for that. I feel bad because they deserve my ideal situation more than I do. I know I shouldn't but I do sometimes. But I know I don't have any control over my life situation, so my guilt is pretty pointless. I just wish I could give everyone in shitty situations my life because they deserve it, I desperately wish I could trade lives with anyone who has it worse than me, just to give them a better situation.
Anyways, I got off track.
For all you people who compare yourself or your life to other's, just know this. Ever single human experience is different, nobody experiences life or anything really in the exact same way. I promise you all that just because your life may be slightly worse or better than someone else's in your eyes, it's nothing to feel bad about. You can't control the situation you were born into, especially because I imagine most of you guys are under 18 as well, which is even less control.
I'm not really sure what I'm even saying anymore, but my point is that every person experiences life completely differently, so you can't compare your life or yourself to anyone else. You are your own individual with your own unique mind and thought, and nobody else can be you, because you are the only you.
