*Two Months Later*
It's been two months since Harry's New years party and things have been going pretty smoothly. Simon and I are still together, well nobody knows about us still but I have never really been the person to show much public affection. Me and Simon now act like best friends wherever now; even when we are alone which is good as nobody really has become suspicious yet.
The house is currently surprisingly quiet. Josh, Vik and Si were all in but I guess they weren't recording from the little amount of screaming. Whilst Simon records I can't hang round in the room so I've got in the habit of watching TV downstairs like a loner for hours at a time. The sound of footstep pounding down the stairs had strangely become a exciting thing to hear around their house. Vik suddenly stormed into the lounge where I was currently spread across the and stood deliberately in front of the TV i was watching.
'You said no to Lachlan, why?' Oh great.
'Wait Lachlan asked you to be his girlfriend?' then Simon appears which with my luck wasn't a surprise.
It had been a the first day in a while I haven't spoken to Simon this year, my phone has only had messages from Lachlan as we still spoke a lot each day. My phone started buzzing violently signalling that someone was ringing me, I picked it up without looking at the caller ID expecting it was Simon;
'Hey, haven't spoken to you yet today , I was thin-' I began rambling before Simon got the chance to interrupt,
'Heather it's me' A different voice spoke, I couldn't recognise it yet'
'Me who?'
'Guess' From this short word I could instantly tell who its was from the strong Australian accent.
'Blondie?'
'Yep'
'Well hi, this is weird'
'I know, sorry. It's funny how we've spoken for so long but I've never heard your voice but you've heard mine'
'True, what does my voice sound like? Is it what you expected?'
'You sound a lot like Vik' We both laugh- it's so much different hearing his laugh instead of using emojis.
'Oh thanks so was there a reason for ringing me or did you just want to insult my accent because I could do the same about yours?'
'Well I've done a lot of thinking lately about you and although it seems silly but I wanted to ask you something?'
'Which is?'
'Will you be my girlfriend?' Wait, what? I wasn't expecting that, it takes a moment for me to process what's just happened but it's not like I can say yes because of Simon but if I say no then I may ruin what I have with Lachlan and make it sound like there is someone else which there is, Simon.
'Heather you still there?'
'Yeah sorry I have to go' Quickly I cut off the phone. Well that's one way to say no.
*Back to current day*
'So? Heather?' Vik begins shaking me vigorously, I guess I started daydreaming. I look round the room and Simon had disappeared somewhere but Vik was clearly not going to drop the subject.
'Because... I don't know ok?'
'That's not good enough!'
'Vik calm down! What do you expect after what happened with Josh I just wanted a break' Lies.
'Lachlan's different, he would never do that to you'
'I know but Vik I just don't want to be in a relationship at the moment' Lies again.
'Fine, you two are still talking right?'
'Yep everything's fine between us.'
Vik glares at me and leaves the room, one thing I hate the most is having him annoyed at me and what's even worse is pretty much everything I just said to him was a lie. Well not everything, me and Lachlan still talk but I may of told him the reason I said no was because I was with Simon. I can trust Lachlan because he knows how much this means to me also by doing this it has brought us even closer as he seems to be the only one I'm not keeping a secret from.
Now time to explain this to Simon. I reached his room and knocked, automatically walking in not giving him enough time to shout or barricade the door. He watched me enter the room but looked away and put his headphones back on as soon as I opened my mouth to talk.
'Si, hello? Simon' I twist his chair round and pull his earphones off his head and chucking them on the desk.
'Are you going to give me a chance to explain or not?'
'Ok go on then explain what ever you have going on with your little Lachy?'
'A friendship which is possible with the opposite gender without wanting to make it friends with benefits.'
'So him asking you to be his girlfriend isn't the same?'
'No it's not and anyway I said no. Why are you overreacting?'
'I don't want you to talk to him anymore'
'And I don't want you to talk to any other girl then'
'No way'
'Well then what makes you think you can tell me not to talk to Lachlan'
'Because I don't trust him'
'Or maybe it's me you still don't trust?' He doesn't answer which leaves me with no other choice but to walk out.
