"Reese, come on." My mom said, wearing a solemn expression on her face. I gave her a questioning look, wondering what's up.

"Mom, where are we going?" I asked her, as she put on a fake smile.

"Why don't we have an all girls day today? Since I'm working most of the time, and we are always busy, we've never really had a day to ourselves." She said, as I nodded.

"Well, let's go!" I said, as I grabbed my phone, and mom grabbed her purse.

--

"So then, your grandpa drove the golf cart right into the tree." She said, as I started to laugh. We were walking in a park, and the sun was going to go down in about an hour.

We had spent the whole day doing things, and going to places, like getting food, and shopping, and shit like that. It was actually pretty fun.

"Really? He did." I said, as I laughed, and mom chuckled. She didn't really laugh that's much, but that didn't mean she was a total depressed person.

"Yep he did. Too bad he died of kidney failure." Mom said, as the happy mood faded. Grandpa had died two heard ago from sudden kidney failure, it was sad. I missed him, he was a funny and good man.

"But this wasn't the reason I asked for a day out." Mom said, as we sat on the bench. I gave her a confused look, as she sighed, mentally getting ready for whatever she was going to tell me.

"Why? Mom what's going on?" I asked her, as she sighed. She rubbed her temples. I raised my eyebrows in confusion, what was so serious?

"I have to tell you something." She said, as her eyes held sadness in them.

"What is it?" I asked.

She sighed again, before looking at me in the eye. Shit, this was even more serious that I thought. Now I was kinda nervous. Scratch that, fully nervous.

"Your father is alive." She said, as my blood ran cold.

Wait, what?

"What? But you said he died in a car crash when I was around two or three." I said, as I felt confusion and anger bubble through me. Mom shook her head.

"I couldn't tell you, your dad didn't even want you." Mom said.

"H-he didn't?" I asked, as sadness filled my voice.

All those times, wishing my father was still alive, was true. But now, that I found out he didn't even want me, that fucking bastard can go out of my life.

Screw him.

I don't need him.
