It was Monday morning and we were in school despite the unrisen sun. Why? There should be a rule that morning should come before anyone has to get out of bed.
Before the first bell, I was calmly shoving books into my locker. I was nearly finished when Jack came over. He did not even speak but my heart still flew. Meeting his gaze, he shot me an award winning smile meanwhile melting me into a puddle.
Slowly he turned away to walk down the hall and into Physics. Jack is such a tease.
Blushing I returned to my locker only to have my books slapped out of my hands by Wade.
"Hey, Asshole, why did you that?" I smiled at his despite Wade's actions. His brown mop hair hid his eyes through the sweat that plastered the strands to his head.
After an apology while helping picking up my belongings, he managed to catch his breath. "You will never believe what I found out."
"What?" I asked to appease his amusement.
"Jack.... asked me... " Wade spoke slowly. Too slowly for my liking.
"Spit it out!" I nearly yelled in the now crowded hallway as I slapped his arm.
"Ow!" he cried rubbing the pain. "Now I guess you will never find out." Wade explained crossing his arms quite child-like if I do say so myself.
Being the toddler I am I turned on the sad puppy face.
Giving in, Wade rolled his eyes. "Jack asked me about you. He wanted to know if you were single. " Wiggling his eyebrows after he told me wanted to make me burst into flames.
"And!?" I complained.
"I told Jack that he would have to ask you himself. " With that said, the bell for first period rang making Wade literally skip down the now empty hall.
I ran into the Physics classroom partly from excitement of seeing Jack and fear of being late.
