It was Friday night after another loss of football game and the party on the field was a great as any other, but sometimes, it gets boring.
The D.J. plays the same old songs that the regular party-goers attend who just drink themselves full of the free beer.
It was decided then that Wade, Joanna, and even the party Queen herself, Gen would take a break from the glamour life and trade it in for a movie night at my house.
It was perfect too: My mom was on a "business trip" with Stan while Christina would not arrive until tomorrow.
"I am not watching something depressing like the Notebook with you guys! All you will do is bawl your eyes out!" Wade complained as he reached into my bowl of popcorn.
I frowned as he shoved a whole handful in his mouth. Wade being the weirdo he is opened his hatch to show the remaining globs that were once a delicious looking piece of food.
"But a Walk to Remember is so much better!" Gen whined.
"What about Twilight?" Jo asked, "Team Edward or Team Jacob?"
"Team Edward for the win!" Wade fist pumped in the air.
"Ha! Wade has a thing for boys who sparkle in the sun!" I laughed at him.
"Never mind that then, I won't put up with that for the whole movie" Jo scolded still shuffling through the d.v.d.s with Gen.
I stood up from my comfortable spot next to Wade on the couch, passing him the bowl, and made my way to the girls. I immediately picked up Blazing Saddles.
Hey! It's a great movie! Don't judge!
We sat in near silence besides the occasional joke we made or chuckles. It was great to be surrounded by my friends being carefree and not obsessing over Jack or when, heck, IF, he even calls me back. Or maybe he wanted to ask me out?
So much for not thinking about a certain boy with blue eyes.

I awoke to the groans of a couch.
On the other side of the room, Joanna sprawled on top of it while Gen passed out on the floor. Both girls were snoring like angry old men. It was deep and alarming.
I felt the blankets around me shift, but I did not move. Something tightened it's hold around my waist.
Cautiously, I turned facing the huge mound of the breathing blanket beast.
Wade.
How is it that I woke in his arms? Again?
It wasn't that I was uncomfortable, just in awe.
Wade's pale white skin was warm against my back while his hair flopped neatly around his ears. His eyelids dropped heavily allowing me to stare at his long lashes which were usually hidden from view. His defined jaw dented the couch beneath us and his minty breath tickled me skin sending goosebumps around me.
He was beautiful and so, I dare not wake a sleeping wonder.
But it couldn't stop fate.
"Good morning, sleepy heads! Rise and shine!" Christina thumped down the stairs quickly and loudly causing everyone to stir from their dreams. I noticed Wade rub his eyes with the hand once around me.
It was cold.
"Hello Blue Eyes." I whispered when he got his first sight of a new morning ad I was met with a pair of ocean orbs.
"Mornin' Lover birds, I would stay to have a chat, but we have some decorating to do." The princess chimed in again, but all she received were blank stares. "For the party!" She spoke with an obvious tone.
And that was when all of Hell broke lose.
