Chapter Twenty-Four

Arashi's POV

We were finally on the way back to the base. We only had a few hours to go before we were there. Kakuzu went ahead so that he could talk to Pein and get his money safe. Itachi and I were walking through the forest slowly. I was walking behind him slightly, looking at the scenery.

Suddenly a hand was slapped over my mouth and I was dragged backwards. I saw trees passing by as I struggled. I finally got of the persons grip and fell to the ground, rolling away quickly. I looked up to find.... Orochimaru. He looked at me like I was perfect. Suddenly his face turned to rage as he yelled, "You took Sasuke from me!!"

"He chose to stay with me!" I yelled back. My voice shook slightly in fear. I had just finished killing a high ranking criminal and I was already very low on Chakra. I thought about screaming for Itachi but I think Orochimaru would take me away from here before Itachi could get here.

I looked at him and felt the fear washing over me, the sheer terror. I couldn't do much to protect myself with no chakra and I barely have enough energy to walk back to the base, I was thinking about having Itachi carry me. I couldn't help but let myself get paralyzed by fear.

As he stepped closer and closer I could feel myself being submerged in fear. He said, "I'll make you pay for taking away Sasuke. You have no idea the kind of pain I can really cause." He cirled me cutting into my back slightly, "I'll make you my perfect soldier." He stopped in front of me and scratched my neck dragging down, "You will be mine."

I looked in his eyes and it was all over for me. I fell to my knees and screamed. I felt my ribs burning and my eyes automatically activated. I fell on my back and screamed again, the fear taking me over. I opened my eyes to see where Orochimaru went, I found a huge winged wolf crouched over me protectively.

I felt a chakra signiture approching fast and couldn't help but let another scream escape me, the fear still taking control. I felt the Chakra signiture arrive and felt the wolf move away from me slightly. I felt Chakra pulse through my heart three times and felt the need to pass out. I faught it though, with Orochimaru here I have to stay awake.

I sat up abruptly, feeling fine finally. My ribs still burned but I ignored it. I stood up, leaning on Itachi. I watched as the wolf protected us. Suddenly Itachi said, "Orochimaru, leave. Before I get involved."

Orochimaru hissed, but ran away quickly. The wolf turned to me and I walked forward shakily, petting his head. I said, "Thank you."

"It was my pleasure Milady." He said, voice deep but strangly comforting to me.

"May I ask your name?" I asked.

"My name is Daxton Milady, and I am your protector." He said.

"Well Daxton, I hope you can be my friend as well." I told him sweetly.

Itachi asked, "Soooo......?"

"Nii-san, I would like you to meet Daxton. I just unlocked the third stage of my Kekkei Genkai. I have to summon my summons to see if they will go or stay." I told him.

I quickly made the handsigns and said, "Summoning Jutsu: Azul, Saber, Layla, Chase."

All four of them were in front of me in a puff of smoke and I though, Well that's it for my chakra....

I said, "As you all probably know, I unlocked the third stage of my Kekkei Genkai. This means that you are all no longer my summons. You may chose to resign a contract with me or leave. I give the choice to you and I will not stop you if you chose to leave."

"I'm sorry Arashi." Chase said. "I will leave."

"I must go as well. I'm sorry Arashi." Layla said, "Thank you for everything."
