Well this is definitely not what I expected

Chapter 36: Aww is the bad boy afraid of horses

Jackson's POV

   The next morning I was woken up by Noah's little brother. He was yelling something about having to get ready to work. I was the first one to get my lazy ass up so I got to get ready first in the bathroom. I took a really fast shower. I decided to not style my hair to day and I just left it the way it was. Hopefully it doesn't look to stupid once it dries. I went out into the room in only my black boxers to get dressed. "Took you long enough," Logan said pushing past me into the bathroom. "I took like ten minutes dude," I yelled to him because he was already in the shower.

   I was rummaging threw my bags to find something to wear when I noticed the house was silent expect for the water that was running in the shower. "Why is it so quiet, where is everyone?" I asked Noah. "My mom and dad went out with my grandparents and siblings. So it's only us, there is a couple jobs we have to do then we can do whatever we want," Noah said before walking out of the room.

   I pulled out a pair of old blue jeans and put them on, I also grabbed a white wife beater and put that on. I was putting on my old black Nikes when Logan came out of the bathroom. He was dressed and he walked out of the room without saying anything, just giving a head nod. When I was ready I left the room. I passed a mirror in the hallway and stopped for a second. I looked at myself in the mirror and smirked. Even though I was wearing older close I still looked sexy.

    When I walked into the kitchen Noah and Logan were sitting at the table drinking coffee. "Where are the girls?" I questioned grabbing a cup of coffee. "Sleeping. Do you still know how to cook?" Logan said. "Yeah I do," I said leaning against the counter. "Good make me food," Logan said. "Come on man you are the only person awake that can cook and we are starving," Noah said. Logan nodded his head in agreement. I sighed out a fine before I started cooking.

   As I was cooking bacon I heard the girls come into the kitchen. I turned around and saw it was only Maddi and Kat. "It smells good, I didn't know you could cook," Maddi said to me. "Yeah well I had to learn cause my parents aren't home very often. They hired someone to clean the house but they didn't think to hire someone to cook," I said. "At least you don't have to clean," Kat said. "I guess. Where is Alex?" I asked, putting the cooked bacon on a plate. "Sleeping still. We tried waking her up but we were unsuccessful," Maddi said.

   "I'll go wake her up, but first I'm putting food on a plate so I actually have some to eat," I said. "That's a good idea Alex is hard to wake up. That girl likes her sleep," Kat said. I laughed at that remark as I walked off towards the girls room. Alex was lying on the bed curled up in a ball. She looked cute and I felt bad waking her up, but you got to do what you got to do.

      I stood by the door to take a running start. I ran from the door way and launched myself on the bed being careful not to land on Alex. She started screaming and I started laughing. "Jackson you are suck a fucking douchebag, you jerk," she said hitting me. Although she was pounding her fist on my chest it didn't hurt and I continued laughing. When I finally gained some control over my laughter I looked at a pouting Alex. "Good morning beautiful," I said leaning over to kiss her. She turned her head and I got her cheek. "Awww don't be mad at me," I said.

    "You're such a jerk why would you jump on the bed like that. You could have landed on me and that would really hurt," she said to me. I sat up and pulled her into my arms. "I'm sorry babe, I wouldn't have done it if I thought I would hurt you. I'm sorry, don't be mad," I said to her kissing her forehead. "Fine but I'll only forgive you if you have me a steaming cup of coffee ready," she said. "Ok, and don't take to long I made food and it will be all gone if you don't hurry up. They eat like fuckin' pigs," I said going to the door. "I'll be out in a few minutes and I'm not very hungry so I think I'll live," she replied back to me.

   When I got back to the kitchen they were all eating still. I made Alex her coffee before bring that, my coffee, and my food to the table. I was sitting down and eating when I saw Alex coming from the hallway. She was wearing black shorts with one on my Obey wife beaters tied up somehow so her stomach was showing past her piercing. "Isn't that my shirt?" I questioned her. "It was," she said sitting on my lap.

   After we were done eating and Maddi and Kat had changed we went out to the yard. "I'll give you guys a quick tour I guess," Noah said. He pointed out a couple barns and places where animals eat or whatever. There were also stables with a lot of horses and there were some crops. "We only have to do three things. Wash and brush the horses, feed the animals in the barn, and bring the animals that are on the field to the barn," Noah said. "I want to take care of the horses," Alex said. "Ok, you and Jackson are on horse duty. Maddi can help me with herding the animals and Logan and Kat feed the animals," Noah listed our jobs. We all nodded in agreement.

 Alex's POV

   When we got to the stable I immediately got everything ready to wash the horses. Jackson was leaning against the barn while I was doing all the work. "Are you going to help me?" I questioned him. "Hmmm I think I'd rather watch you work," he replied. "Jerk," I mumbled under my breathe. Although I think he heard me because he burst out in laughter. The ass really likes laughing at me today.

   I finished washing and brushing all six horses in perfect timing. Kat, Logan, Maddi, and Noah were coming towards the stable. "Let me guess you did all the work?" Logan said once they were near us. "How did you know?" I said teasingly. "Lucky guess," he replied.

   "So you guys want to go riding?" Noah asked us all. "Yes!!!," Kat, Maddi, and I yelled at the same time. "Ok I guess we are going riding then," Noah said laughing. We all picked a horse. Mine was light brown, slightly grey, she was somewhat small and she was beautiful. Her name is Cocoa. Jackson's horse was black and named Ace. Kat's horse was white and named Snow. Logan, Maddi, and Noah all rode brown horses. There names are Cookie, Chocolate, and Carmel.

   All of us were on our horses except Jackson. He was just standing around playing games on his phone. "Come on man we want to leave," Logan said to him. "I have to beat this level of angry birds first," he replied. I rode Cocoa towards him and she nudged his shoulder with her nose. When she did that he jumped. I understand what his issue is now. "Aww is the bad boy afraid of horses," I said to him in a teasing tone. "Of course not," he said back to me. "Oh really, well if you aren't then get your sexy ass of the phone and onto the horse we want to go riding," I said. "Go without me then," was his reply.

   "He really is scared," Kat said. We all started laughing. Jackson was turning a slight shade of pink and he kept denying his fear. "You know what I'll prove it to you," he said before getting on the horse. Once he was on everyone started moving. First it was Noah and Maddi, then Kat and Logan, then Jackson and I at the end. I looked at Jackson and saw he was pale and his hands were shaking. I rode up beside him and quietly said, "Don't worry baby I'll protect you from the horse if I have to," so know one else heard. He just looked at me and gave me a shaky smile.

    We went riding for a good two hours before going to this little lake on the land and it was a lot of fun. By the time we got back to the house Noah's family were back and dinner was ready. We ate the food his grandma and mom made. Kat, Maddi, Sara, and I cleaned up from dinner.  After we played board games for a while. It was surprisingly a lot of fun and we all played. Although the guys got very competitive.

   Before we knew it, it was late and we all went to bed. It was a really fun day on the Samuels family ranch.
