Well this is definitely not what I expected

Chapter 33: Thank God For Tenth Graders

Maddi's POV

   I am on my way to Starbucks right now because Noah, Kat, Logan, Alex, and Jackson are meeting me there. We haven't done anything fun lately so we need to figure out something to do. The most interesting things that have happened lately is Kat and Logan wanting to get married, and Alex and Jackson getting tattoos. So it has been very boring.

   When I got to Starbucks I saw Noah had just gotten there so I waited for him to go in. Once we got in we noticed everyone there and they had Frappuccino's there for us. "Hey guys," I said sitting down with them. "Hey," they all said at the same time. "So what are we going to do it has to be something fun," Kat said. We were all silent for a while thinking about what to do when Alex said, "How bout we take a road trip to I don't know San Diego or something?"

   We were all silent for a while thinking about that idea. "Sounds good to me," Kat and Logan said. "I'll go but I'm taking my own car," Jackson said. "Sure," Noah said. I was the only one who didn't reply yet so they were all looking at me. "Ok I guess it would be fun but how would we convince our parents to let us go?" I asked.

   "When are we going and for how long?" Kat asked. "Leave tomorrow go for a week," Jackson said. We all nodded our heads in agreement. "Well my parents are out of town so it's not like they would know if I'm home or not. They don't even call to check up on me," Alex said. "Well I'm staying with you because my mom had to go see my grandma because she is sick and dads away for business so if you are going I'm going," I said. "My parents don't care what I do," Jackson said and Logan nodded his head in agreement. "My parents would let me go if I asked them," Noah said. "Well yah you are so good they let you do what ever you want," Logan said to him to him teasingly.

   "I wont be allowed to go guaranteed, so I'll just tell them I'm sleeping over at Alex's house if that's alright with you?" Kat said looking at Alex. She nodded her head yah so Kat continued saying, "I'll park my car outside your house and get someone to drive it around town once in a while. My parents wont suspect a thing." "Who is going to drive your car around town?" Noah asked. Kat whipped out her phone and started texting people. Eventually she said, "Thank god for tenth graders. This guy is willing to drive my car around town once a day for an hour for only ten bucks and hour." The way she said it was pretty funny so we all started laughing.

   "Ok let's go home so we can pack," I said. We all bid our goodbyes before we went our separate ways and went home.

Alex's POV

   Since I don't have a car Jackson is driving me home. "I'm in no mood to pack," I said to him. He looked away from the road for a minute to look at me before bringing his eyes back to the road. "Come with me to my house for me to pack, then we can go to yours and I'll keep you company," Jackson said. "Fine and you can just stay the night at my house then so you don't have to go home tonight then come back to my house in the morning to pick me up," I said. "Sounds good," he replied.

   When we got to Jackson's house no one was home. Ever time I go to his house it's empty, the only living things there are the houses workers and his dog Butcher. I've never met Jackson's parents before and I've been to his house a lot. He is an only child and no one is ever home so it must be lonely living in this big house. I can now see why he used to act out I guess he wanted attention from his parents.

   Once we were in Jackson's room he immediately started packing his stuff. I plugged his iPod into the iPod dock and put it on shuffle before I lied down on his bed. I had just closed my eyes when I felt the bed dip beside me. I looked over and saw Bucher inching his way towards me on the bed. "Hi Butcher," I said reaching out to him. When I did that he got up and jumped on  me barking happily. He is the cutest dog ever, even though he looks scary he is secretly a sweetie.

   I was lying on Jackson's bed playing with Butcher when Jackson said, "You can help me you know. It would make this a lot faster." "Oh I know but I'm perfectly fine doing nothing," I said back to him. He sighed before getting back to packing. Like me he hates doing it. An hour and a half later Jackson was finally finished packing and we finally were leaving.

   We went out to his families huge garage and Jackson led me over to a black 2013 1500 Dodge ram truck. "Since when did you have a truck?" I asked him. "It's my dad's, I'm just going to borrow it. Now hop in," he said opening the door for me. I just nodded my head and hopped in. As soon as we got to my house we went up to my room and I began packing. Jackson was lying on my bed looking through my sketch book. "Who said you can look through that?" I asked him, folding some clothes and putting them in my bag. "I don't need permission. When did you draw this?" he asked.

   I looked up from what I was doing and saw he was turned to a drawing I drew of him. It was from one of the days he slept here and I drew a picture of him sleeping because I was awake and bored. I blushed slightly because I was embarrassed that he saw that. "I drew it one day when you were sleeping over," I said looking down to hide my blush. I felt him pull my chin up so I was looking at him before he said, "Don't be embarrassed its really good plus I look hot when I'm sleeping." After he said that he lied back on my bed and continued doing what ever it is he was doing.

  When I was finally done packing I went to the bathroom and changed into my pajamas then went to lie down next to Jackson. When I was in the bathroom I guess he changed into his pajamas or just his boxers in his case. "Good night," we said at the same time. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips before going to sleep.

   The next morning I was up early so I can shower and get ready. I took a quick shower and rapped myself in a towel before going to my room. I thought Jackson was still asleep but when I walked in my room I saw him lying there awake. "Morning babe, you look hot in that towel," he said. I said, "Morning," and ignored his towel comment. "Can I take a quick shower?" he asked me. "Yup," I said popping the 'p'. "Thanks," he said before giving me a kiss then going to take a shower.

   I towel dried my hair before brushing it and leaving it down naturally. I did my make-up how its normally done before I got dressed. I decided to wear blue and white stripped shorts with a white tank top tucked in and a blue jean shirt on top with black vans. I looked in the mirror and thought I looked cute so I went downstairs to make breakfast. I decided to make fruit smoothies with toast and nutella.

   Not long later Jackson came downstairs wearing black shorts with a white muscle shirt that says 'We are the kids your parents warned you about' on it and black vans. "Mmmmm nutella," he said before eating. I sat down to eat with him when I heard the doorbell ringing. I went to open the door and saw Noah, Maddi, Logan, and Kat standing there. We greeted each other before I invited them in to eat. Kat and Maddi looked really cute in their outfits.

   Kat was wearing aqua blue shorts with a coral pink knit lace tank top and white toms. Maddi was wearing blue jean shorts and a pink lace t-shirt and pink and brown sandals. Logan and Noah didn't look to bad either. Logan was wearing tan shorts with a t-shirt that says swag on the front and black high top Nikes. Noah was wearing red Under Armor shorts with a black t-shirt and black and white Nikes.

   Once we were done eating we all hit the road. Logan drove himself, Kat, Noah, and Maddi in his Camaro that looks like bumble bee from Transformers. I drove with Jackson in his truck. We finally were able to hit the road now for a long drive to SAN DIEGO.
