Well this is definitely not what I expected

Chapter 11: Touchdown

Alex's POV

   Since the towel incident in my room before studying I have been avoiding Jackson. The only time I see him is in english and we don't talk. The last time we talked was wednesday, it's now friday. Maddi is making me go to the football game tonight and Jackson will unfortunately be there since him and Logan are friends again. I need to try my best to avoid him because it will be hella awkward seeing him again since he has seen me practically naked. I still wonder how I got through that study session.

Jackson's POV

   Alex has been avoiding me since wednesday. I don't understand why she was so embarressed about me seeing her in a towel. She looked hot. I was thinking about asking her out on a date but seeing how she won't talk to me it could be a problem. I have to figure out a way to get her to talk to me. Hopefuly she will be at the football game tonight and I can talk to her there.

Logan's POV

   Tonight is the night, the night that the football team wins our biggest game of the season. "Alright everyone sit down. We have to forfit the game." Those words coming out of coach's mouth is what killed my joy. "WHAT? WHY?!" "Calm down. Ethan got suspended and James and Liam can't play because they got the flu. So we have no alternates." The first thing that comes to my mind is Ethan's an idiot for getting suspended. The second thing that comes to mind is why would our only alternates have to get the flu when we need them most. Wait wait wait, I got an idea and I don't get those very often. "Hey coach what if I can find an experienced football player that goes to the school to play for us." "We would be able to play the game tonight." he said. "You know Jackson the captain of the rugby team, he plays football during summer on a team and we used to play on the same team outside of school. He is really good. I bet I can get him to play with us." "Well then Logan call him up and see if one of your plans would finally work." Although I'm offended by that comment I don't say anything and call Jackson.

Phone Call

L: Hey man can you do me a favour?

J: Sure dude what do ya need?

L: I was wondering if you can play in the football game tonight? We are short one player and have no alternates cause they are sick and I know for a fact you can play football well.

J: Sure I'll play dude. Meet you in the locker room in 5 minutes.

L: Ok see you then

End of phone call

   "He'll be her in 5 minutes." ~5 minutes later~ "Hey man thanks for doing this." "No problem Logan it'll be fun." "Ok ladies sit you asses down and shut up. First things first thank you for subbing in Jackson." "It's not a problem sir." "Ok boys here is the gameplan." And with that coach started telling us how to win this game.

Alex's POV

   I really don't want to go to the football game but I wasn't given much of a choice by Maddi or Kat. So here I am sitting alone on the bleachers with only a frappeccino from Starbucks and my sketch book to keep me company. Not long after I got there I heard the game start. Looking up the first thing I notice is Jackson on the field looking like he is about to play. I knew he played football but I thought he wasn't on the team. Whatever though it's not my problem.

~After the game~

   Our team won which is a good thing, I think. I texted Kat and Maddi saying my mom wanted me home right after the game. I didn't want to wait for them in fear of running into Jackson. As I was walking into the parking lot I heard "Hey Alex." Shit I know that voice, it's Jackson. Slowly and reluctantly I turned around plastering a small smile on my face. "Hi Jackson. Good game, but I really have to get going my mom needs me at home and I have to walk there, so bye." I was about to walk away when he started talking again. "Come on Alex you and I both know you are lying. Can't you stay 5 minutes I want to talk to you." "Fine talk." That was all I said. "I know you have been avoidng me since the towel incident. You don't talk to me in class, you ignore my texts, and you don't answer my calls. I don't want it to be like that between us." "Ok sounds good see you monday." "Hahaha wait it hasn't been 5 minutes and I have to ask you a question." Sighing I said " ask away." "Will you go out with me tomorrow night?" Well I definatly wasn't expecting that, but I already know my answer. "No"
