Well this is definitely not what I expected

Chapter 38: Fortune Cookie

Noah's POV

   Sadly summer will be over in a couple of weeks and I will have to go away for college. It really sucks that I have to go away because I wont get to see Maddi for a really long time. I know that we can text, call, face time, and Skype each other, but it wont be the same. I know its stupid for me to admit this but I'm scared she will find someone else while I'm away. How couldn't she? Maddi is beautiful, kind, caring, loving, and just over all amazing. I honestly don't think I could live without her. I know we are young but I'm pretty sure she is the one.

   I drove past Maddi's house and was relieve to see her car wasn't home. I parked on the street and went to knock on the door. Mr. Amore opened the door, "Hello Noah. Maddi isn't home at the moment," he said. "Yah I know. I came to talk to you Mr. Amore," I replied to him. "Alright come on in," he said opening the door to let me in.

   He led me to his office and sat behind it while I sat on one of the chairs in the front. "So Noah what is it that you want to talk about?" Mr. Amore asked me. I nervously coughed and scratched the back of my neck before saying, "I would like to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."

   He looked at me dumbfounded for a few minutes before saying, "What?" "Umm I want to marry Maddi," I said nervously and unsurely. "I know that but why?" he asked me.

   "Well Sir, I really love your daughter and I don't want to live without her. I have to go away for college and I'm scared she will find someone better than me. I love her with all my heart and I truly care about her. I know we are young and we don't have to get married now or any time soon I just want to go away feeling confident that she will not find someone else," I honestly said to him.

    He silently looked at me for a few minutes before saying, "She loves you and you love her, right?" "Yes we love each other with all our hearts," I replied. "You wont ever hurt her." "No I would take a bullet for her before I hurt her," I said. "I suppose it will be alright but if she says no you can not pressure her and you cant hurt her," he said. "So you are saying I can marry her?" I questioned dumbly.

   "Yes Noah, I give you my blessing to marry Maddi. But if you hurt her I will cut your balls off then feed them to you," he said, in a joking tone for the threat. "I understand Sir, but I'm sure Maddi would beat you to it," I said standing up. He stood up as well and we shook hands. "I'm sure she will," he said as we walked to the front door. "Thanks again Mr. Amore," I said before walking out the door. "It's not a problem and Good Luck Noah," he said.

    After I got permission to marry Maddi, I drove to a jewelry store to find the perfect engagement ring. It took a little while to find it but when I did I knew it was the perfect one. I wanted to make sure everything goes perfect so I called Kat, Alex, Jackson, and Logan for help. Together we came up with a perfect plan for a yes worthy proposal, hopefully.

                             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Next Day At Night~~~~~~~~~~~~~

   I invited Maddi, Alex, Jackson, Kat, and Logan over to my house so we could hang out. Tonight I plan on proposing to Maddi. I am really nervous and scared she will say no, but I'm also excited to ask her. I know deep down she will say yes but there is still that small doubt inside me.

   "So I'm feeling in the mood for Chinese," Logan stated lying on the ground. "Sounds good," everyone but Maddi agreed. "Come on Mads, don't you want to each some orange shicken?" Alex questioned in a teasing baby tone. "Fine," Maddi sighed out. I honestly don't know what I would do if she didn't agree to Chinese, my whole plan would go down the drain.

   We ordered and the food thankfully came quickly. I'm  nervous but still hungry. Once we were all done eating I dug in the bag for the special fortune cookie. I knew it was the one because I had the guy tie a string around it. I untied the string before passing it to Maddi, and I gave everyone else one. Maddi was the first to crack it open and the expression on her face was shocked to say the least.

Maddi's POV

   When I cracked open the fortune cookie a ring and slip of paper fell on my lap. When I picked it up the paper said, "Will You Marry Me?" I looked up at Noah with a confused expression on my face. I was about to ask him what was going on but he opened his mouth before me.

    He said, "Maddi I love you more than anything on this earth. You are the kindest most beautiful girl I know. You are my best friend and soul mate. Each moment I spend with you makes me a better man. I don't think I would ever  be able to live without you. I want you to be the mother of my children and the one I grow old with. I know we are young and we might be apart next year, but I believe our love is strong enough for anything. So Maddison Riley Amore will you do me the honor of being my wife?"

   I was absolutely shocked to hear him say that. We are only seventeen and eighteen, I mean we are to young to get married. But I love him I really do. I love him with ever fiber of my being. I want to have his kids and grow old with him. I looked into his eyes and say how nervous he was. I saw how he kept scratching the back of his neck, a sign of nerves for him. I love Noah I really do. I love his smile, I love how he is smart and good looking, and I love how he isn't your typical jock. He is the biggest sweet heart you will ever meet. Looking into his eyes I knew at that moment that I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

   "I would be honored to marry you Noah," I said before jumping up and planting a huge kiss on his mouth. When he pulled away he placed the beautiful, perfect ring on my finger. We hugged and kissed again, before I went over to my girls. While we were squealing in delight and admiring my ring, the boys were patting him on the back and congratulating him on his 'Win." Their words not mine.

   I cant believe that I will eventually in the near future be Mrs, Maddison Samuels.
