Friday came and Slater picked me up in my condo. I will be watching his basketball game in Mall of Asia arena. Apparently he's a school varsity athlete and they have an official match today.

I'm wearing a simple outfit for today. A white corset top and a dark beige slacks paired with my white shoes. I also tied my hair in a high ponytail. I also brought my black denim jacket in case it gets too cold.

Finnick will be coming home today. Or maybe he's already here? I don't know! I've been avoiding his messages. And going with Slater mean preoccupying myself!

"Won't your coach be mad that you didn't ride your coaster?"

Slater smiled and shook his head. "No, nagpaalam naman ako. Thank you again for coming to watch my game,"

I smiled. "It's no big deal. Thanks for inviting me."

He bit his lower lip and nodded. "Well, I've been wanting to ask you out for a while now I just didn't have the courage,"

Ngumiti lamang ako. Nakarating kame sa Arena. Sa likod kame dumaan cause apparently he's a famous athlete and has a lot of fan girls! I'm not really into watching a lot of basketball games so I'm not familiar.

Nakita namin ang mga ka teammates nyanat kaagad na nag ingay ang mga ito. I felt my cheeks heating up. It's embarrassing. Pinatigil sila ni Slater.

"I'll escort you to your seat. It's just above our bench." Sinamahan ako ni Slater sa upuan ko. He also got me snacks and a drink. "I'm sorry I need to go to the locker room now," he apologized.

Ngumiti ako saka umiling. "No, no. It's fine. I'll be here cheering for your team,"

His eyes shined. "Thank you. I'll see you after the game. Wait for me here. I'll take you to dinner,"

Tumango ako. Bumalik na ito sa locker room. I took out my phone and took a selfie and uploaded it on my story. Pinicturan ko din ang arena at nilagay iyon sa story ko with the hashtag go blue eagles!

Nang malapit na mag simula ay halos mapuno na ang arena. Madaming estudyante, alumni at fans ang nanonood. The arena roared when they introduced the players.

I didn't know that Slater was the team captain! The game started and everyone was thrilled and excited. Even me who is not a fan got ecstatic because of the mood of the whole arena! Masaya din palang manood ng basketball.

I took a video of Slater shooting from the three point line. Madami ang napasigaw ng ng shoot ito. My face heated again when he looked my way and winked after shooting the ball.

What a player! Natawa ako sa naiisip. He's a basketball player who's also a player of girl's hearts! Binaba ko ang cellphone ko at nanood na lamang ng game habang kumakain ng chips.

Lamang ang team nila Slater. They're all good player. Of course they're the varsity team. The audience are wild. Halos lahat ng nanonood ay sigaw ng sigaw para sa team na kanilang chinicheer.

I also got bad stares now. Cause everytime Slater would successfully shoot a ball he would look at me! May nagtanong na din sa akin kuny girlfriend ba ako ni Slater and of course I immediately answered no!

The game stopped at half time. I messaged Slater that I will just go to the restroom. Madaming tao ang lumabas muna ng arena dahil hindi pa naman magsisimula ang second half.

Pagkagaling ko sa restroom ay naglakad lakad muna ako sa hallway. I bought a corndog and went back to my seat.

Nagsimula na ang second half. Nakaupo ngayon si Slater sa bench. Lumingon ito sa akin saka ngumiti. I smiled back holding the corndog that I bought! Lalo lamang lumamang ang score nila.
