The situation on the third island wasn't as bad as the others. It looked rather good in fact. The Arconians had turned the flanks all the way to the beach. They just didn't look to have the manpower to roll up the flanks.

Soldiers waved as Kita went by and she waved back enthusiastically. Coming over a rise into a small revene, a group of men was in a heated discussion.

Landing in front of them, no one noticed Kita. Clearing her throat, she crossed her arms. Their scowls evaporated when they saw her.

"Lady Rose, we never expected to see you," said a man dressed as a chieftain.

A Black Watch captain pushed him aside. "My apologizes, Black Rose, the chieftain has forgotten his manners. I'm glad you're here."

Kita raised an eyebrow at the chieftain. "It's alright, Captain. I came to find out what I can do to help. I see you've turned the flanks, any reason you haven't started rolling them up?"

"We lack the manpower to go through the jungle. We only have a thin line holding."

"I can torch the jungle if you wish."

The chieftain choked. "You can't do that."

Raising a hand to the chieftain, the Captain said, "Most of our villages are in the jungle. We'd rather not lose them if possible."

"Oh." I always wondered where they all lived. "The big island is nearly cleared. I can shuttle you over some more men, would that help?"

The Captain smiled. "That would be perfect, Black Rose."

"I'll send them as soon as I talk to Xeen."

After coordinating with Xeen to shuttle troops to the third island, Kita tried raising Omega.

"Omega?" No answer. How odd.

She needed to get her wounds attended to; she didn't heal very fast with cauterized wounds. She felt light headed. I'm kind of glad they don't need me to fight. Someone said Omega was at the casualty collection point. Kita took off to find it.

Touching down at the CCP, her bad leg gave out. Rolling on the ground, Kita came to a stop on her back.

"That's not good," she said aloud. Not good at all. The blue sky with little white clouds turned gray around the edges. As the gray closed in, she saw a face with a black rose and another with a snake. Before she could do anything, the gray turned to black.

Kita awoke to a bright light and squinted to see. The sun backlit a head that appeared giving it a golden halo.

Sarin face came out of the darkness. "Look who's awake. Hi there gorgeous."

"Hi there gorgeous yourself," said Kita with a smile as Sarin stroked her cheek.

"What are you doing flying and fighting with holes the size of melons in you?" said Tina. "Do you know how much blood had pooled?"

Kita shrugged. "I cauterized everything."

Tina's voice changed to concern, "Not on the inside you didn't. You nearly bleed out without any of it leaving."

Kita tried to sit up, but Tina pushed her back down. "You're still short blood. You're not going anywhere." Tina looked at one of her assistants, "Can you get her some food? She'll recover faster if she eats."

"The Angel of Mercy is in," said Kita with a laugh.

Rubbing her hands over the areas where her wounds used to be, Kita found the skin to be smooth. She sat up and made her bodysuit invisible around the area so she could see. Kita let out a happy squeal.
