Kita and Snowy entered the training room. They were on a break from planning sessions with Thorne and Xeen. Kita wanted to breakout of Leedings as soon as possible, even if they couldn't use the heavy equipment yet.

"Kita! Look!" said Sarin as she picked up a target full of holes. All of the shots were in the black.

"Impressive. Ah, what am I looking at?"

"The girl can shoot," said Omega. "I didn't think she was good for anything..."

"Hush, Omega," said Kita.

"See!" said Sarin pointing to the close shot groupings.

"Those are good, how long have you been practicing?" said Snowy.

"Just today," said Sarin. "The Black Watch guess let me try."

"I think we found Jane's hidden talent," said Snowy to Kita.

"If this is what she wants to do, it's fine by me."

"Oh, thank you." Sarin threw her arms around Kita and kissed her to Kita's surprise. Sarin's face was healed, except for the scars. She hadn't wanted to be touched until now.

"Yum," said Kita as she licked her lips. "I'm sure Omega can customize you for shooting."

"Sigh, I suppose I can make your body a weapons platform. I've got to work on your heart, muscles, eyes, lungs, and bones. Going to hurt."

"After what happened in Leedings nothing can hurt that much."

"You say that now. Come along and report the medical ward."

"Thank you, Kita. I promise you won't regret it," said Sarin.

Kita smiled. "I know you'll do me proud."

An explosion rocked the small viewing area as Kita entered with Snowy and Katie. Frostbane's bulk hid the movie watchers. Snowy and Kita walked around the bear and next to the screen. Kita paused the movie to some grumbling.

"Yeah, yeah, you can go back to it in a minute. Snowy and I have something to show you. Kita called up the lights. "Katie?"

Katie stepped out from behind Frostbane.

"Wow," said Tina as she sat up.

"Neptune's rings..." Anthrax whispered.

"Damn, what did you do?" Sarin exclaimed.

Katie's skin radiated black light. Her feathers were black with a purple refraction. She wore a black bodysuit with a thief's belt and a pair of scimitar on her back.

"So, is she some kind of special fallen angel?" said Tina unhappily.

Kita shook her head. "No. A fallen angel means you fell from grace doing something evil. As far as we know, Katie hasn't done that. She's dark, but not evil. So, we took the black feathers of a fallen and mixed it with the glow of a high, and we came up with a dark angel. If you're my counterweight, she'll be Nell's."

Tina smiled. "Sounds fair."

"So what did they give you?" said Sarin.

Katie shrugged. "Omega called it the basic package. He gave me spirit damage. I don't know what that is, but I can shoot it from my hands and energize my swords."

Snowy laughed. "Omega's messing with you. You produce radiation. Depending on the radiation, it can go through most anything and destroy things on the atomic level."

"Katie can produce anywhere between one thousand to two thousand grays. So stay out of her way if you want to live," said Omega.

"No wonder she glows," said Snowy.
