I woke up to an arm wrapped around my waist. I was startled at first, but quickly calmed when I saw it was Kane. I smiled and turned to where I was facing him, taking the time to really look at him. I almost giggled at his pouted lips when a bit of drool slipped out. I wiped it away with my thumb and brushed back his hair. He smiled and pulled me closer. I snuggled into him and sighed. I could get used to this;my wolf eagerly agreed.
I had been working on my speech just for him,but last night made me almost want to quit. Would he treat me that way? My wolf whimpered. All of the sudden,Kane's eyes shot open. I gasped and he hugged me close, sniffing my hair to calm his raging wolf.
His eyes were black again and I smiled. It'd been some time since I had spoken to Isaiah.

"Isaiah?"I asked.

"Yes,Love?" He replied,kissing my neck.

"A-are...y-you...okay?"

"We are angry"

"W-what'd I... do?" I frowned.

"Not you,Noelle. Us."

"Y-you?"

"We are terrible Mates.." He choked, his eyes filling with tears. He pulled me up and into his lap, burying his head into my neck. "I'm so sorry,Noelle." He said. It was Kane and he was sobbing. "I'm so so sorry,Noelle. I know it'll take some time to forgive me,but I love you. Please forgive me. I didn't do anything to her,I was just so mad at her for threatening you that Isaiah and I went totally out of it and I'm-we're-sorry. I've been so selfish,Noelle. I'm going to start thinking of others and not just me."

I nodded and rested my head on his broad shoulder. He sighed in content and pulled me closer. I don't know how long we were like that, but when a knock came to the door it startled us both. Kane put me under the covers and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a shirt, opening the door.

"Alpha,it seems that the Luna is due for a check up this morning." A maid said, meekly.

"Yes,thank you,Catharine." He replied, closing the door. "Well,Sweetie, looks like you need to go to the doctor."

We waited together in the room, holding hands. It was somehow comfortable in the tiny office together. Dr. Gray, the same man who met me in the hospital, walked in and sat down. He pulled out his computer and smiled at us both.

"As you both know, the Luna has been having problems with her vocal chords. We have discovered that she has these difficulties because of never speaking. How old were you when you were taken,Luna?" He asked.

"S-six."

"Since she hasn't used her voice in so long, she has trouble forming words. I encourage the Luna to be more open and speak more often, this includes every day voice exorcizes as well." He said.

Kane nodded and stood, taking my hand. "Thank you,Doctor. We will." They shook hands and we walked out of the office. We passed by the waiting room, but I stopped, seeing a little girl with green eyes and brown curls, coughing hard. I frowned and let go of Kane's hand, walking up to her and patting her back. She looked up at me and her eyes went wide.

"Luna! I don't want to get you sick too!" She said, covering her mouth. She had to be at least seven.

"It....o-oka-ay." I struggled, pulling her into my lap. I rubbed her back as she coughed more. I picked her up and found a nurse. "E-excuse...m-me?" I asked her.

She turned and gasped. "Luna! Hello! It is such an honor! What can I do for you?"

"T-this....child...n-needs...care." I said.

"Of course!" She said, taking her away and into an open room.

I felt Kane behind me and I turned to see a soft smile, playing on his lips. "That was very nice of you. You will make an outstanding Luna." He whispered. "Let's go home,Noelle."
