Caiden's P.O.V

I was furious. How could they make my Mate, pregnant no less, kill someone? No matter what Meghan did Miracle wasn't capable of taking away someone's life! Not when she was giving life at the same moment! Sometimes the Elders are just-just stupid!

"Don't say that, Caid." She said as I climbed into bed. She was always in my head! "It isn't my fault you protrude your thoughts the way you do." I sighed and she looked up from her book. "You wanna talk about it?"

"No. Whatcha reading?" I asked, leaning over to her.

"How to be a better Wife by Jane Headlings." I rolled my eyes and took away the book from her small hands. "Hey!"

"You don't need to be better. You're perfect." I said, leaning in to kiss her. She rolled her eyes, but complied, giving me a small kiss.

"Says you."

"Shouldn't I be the on,y one that matters? You are my wife."

"Wrong. I'm your Mate."

"Same thing." I said, putting my hand on her stomach that held a small baby bump. It was growing fast and the doctors appointment was tomorrow. "I'm glad you moved in with me."

"I figured it was time by now. When's the ceremony?"

"Next week."

"Nervous?"

"Extremely." She chuckled and I laid my head on her chest while she played with my hair. "That feels good." I sighed. I had been very nervous about the ceremony where I would become Alpha. My father would turn over the title that I trained so hard for and then I would be swamped like never before in paper work, my Mate, the baby, and my own worries. Having that small moment with my Mate meant the world to me. She calmed all my nerves and worries, making my tense muscle, for once, relax. It made me realize how much I really needed her and how much I really relied on her;how much I loved her.

"You're protruding again." He sniffled,smiling.

"Am I?"

"It just means you're passionate about something."

"I am."

"About a lot of things."

I laughed and kissed her stomach. "I love the small things and moments in life with you."

"Literally." She said, refering to the baby inside of her. I smiled and snuggled into her warmth. "You're feeling cuddley tonight." She chuckled. "Is there a reason behind all this?"

"Nope I just wanna hold you."

"What'd you break?"

I frowned. "I'm not a child."

"You coulda fooled me." She laughed and suddenly turned serious. "The execution is next month."

I growled. "It's wrong of them to do that. Y-"

"Shhhh. It'll be fine." She said,caressing my cheek. "I'm tired and I want to go to bed."

"Okay. I love you Little One."

"I love you too,weirdo."

"Weirdo?!" I asked, trying to sound offended. "I beg your parden."

"You can beg my parden as long as you'd like, but you're a weirdo."

"I-"

"MY weirdo."

"Oh okay."  She laughed and kissed my cheek. "I guess I can deal with that." I chucked.

"You better."

I smiled and looked into her violet eyes. She looked so much healthier now. Her face was fuller and her eyes were bright and filled with life. Her hair fell in beautiful blonde waves around her small shoulders. Her stomach was starting to grow with my child and I knew deep in my soul that I was going to love them both more then anything before. I sighed and picked her up so she was straddling me. This was my Mate,Miracle. My Love,My Soul,My Escape, The mother of my child and my Best Friend. She was literally my everything. She has always been there for me and now it was my turn. I was going to be here for her and I wouldn't let becoming an Alpha get in The way of me spending time with my Mate an child. Her eyes started to water and I could tell she was hearing all my thoughts through the Mate Mind Link. "I love you, Miracle and I know I can be frustrating and stupid and a down right idiot, but you love me anyway and that amazes me. I guess you heard some of my thoughts..."

"All of it."

"You're a good listener."

"I don't have a choice when you're protruding your thoughts like this." She chuckled as leaned in for a kiss. "But you're right."

"Mark the calendar."

We laughed. "It is the small things..."

"Literally."
