"May spare ka bang ipit diyan?" Tanong ni Mhaii habang iniipit ang buhok nito gamit ng kamay niya.

Inabot ko ang aking make up kit at hinalongkat ito pero wala na akong extrang hair tie na nakita. Bigo akong tumingin sa kanya bilang sagot. Napa nguso naman si Mhaii at hinayaang bumagsak ang kanyang mahabang buhok.

"Patay na naman ako nito. I'm pretty sure binabantayan na ako ni coach sa labas para ibigay ang punishment."

I hooked my cheer skirt in place and grabbed my wrist bands before wrapping them around my wrists. Using my fingers, I brought my hair over my head and tied them into a high ponytail. Kinuha ko ulit ang aking make up kit upang ma irecover ko foundation sa aking mukha at dinagdagan ko nang kaunti pang kulay ang aking pisngi gamit ang favourite kong red lip tint. Ever since I was introduced to lip tints, bihira na ako gumamit ng blushers. I'd always have three lip tints of each shade wherever I go, I have three because I use one for my lips, the other for my cheeks, and an extra one for emergencies.

I rushed to look at the long mirror at the corner of the room to admire the entirety of my ensemble. I then bobbed my head as a sign of satisfaction.

As over exaggerated this might appear, there's nothing wrong at looking the part. When it comes to rehearsals, I always made sure to look more like a cheerleader than a student.

"Ah! I will be heading straight to the mall nga pala guys after practice, wardrobe check for tonight's party. Pupunta kayo right?" Tawag ni Lenn habang nag pa-powder na rin ng mukha niya, "Kung wala pa kayong damit, sama nalang kayo sa akin."

Kiko zipped her sports bag closed and headed towards her PE locker, "Student council member guys, I'm heading straight to pres' condo for a meeting with the rest of the council body, I can't make it tonight."

Nag nod nalang si Lenn, "Bree? Reign? Dens? Mhaii? Any of you going?"

"Yeah," Reign, Denise, and Mhaii replied in chorus. Napatingin naman silang tatlo sa akin dahil hindi ako sumagot.

"May dinner sa bahay guys, kailangan daw presence ko doon. Mom's orders," Tawa ko as I dump my bag in my own locker. I hooked the keyring with my keys on my skirt before checking my full look in the mirror. The rest of the girls joined me.

"Sus! Sabihin mo lang na you're trying to look good in Yves' eyes! Seriously! Drop the act sweetheart, he's not worth it."

"Stop it Lenn, alam mo naman kung gaano ka sensitive si Breyar sa topic na 'yan di'ba? As her friends, we should support her stupidity nalang," Tawa naman ni Mhaii. Ughh, they always do this! Mocking my feelings and Yves' treatment towards me.

Yeap. Yves. Although he has been gone for 4 or 5? Long years, has undergone puberty, has grown up and I, myself, has changed as well, his treatment towards me remained the same. I thought he would have grown to at least acknowledge me at least as a friend. Pero akala ko lang pala iyon.

It has been 3 years since he came back. His family, which is now complete and is happy as ever, has decided to settle here in the Philippines. Of course, the news made me very happy. It was natural for me to be happy after all. I thought, finally! I am now able to talk to him and maybe this time, we could work things out and start fresh.

But unfortunately, I was wrong about that. I shouldn't be surprised, since when have I ever been right about Yves?

"Girls! Time to head out!" Sigaw ng coach namin kasabay ng pag bukas niya ng pinto. Some girls who weren't fully clothed muffled their screams and at the same time attempted to hide. I rolled my eyes.
