22: Want

"I'm glad that everything is behind us now. The past week has honestly been the worst experience of my life!" Denise exclaimed dramatically, "And I've experienced a lot of worst experiences."

"Do you want to get changed before meeting your tita Carrie? You look like a mess." Denise chuckled as we took a turning into the familiar village where the Guererro's household is located, "I can take the roundabout at front and we can head to my home."

It is currently 6am in the morning, a Sunday which means I had to meet tita Carrie.

Denise and I are just making our way back from a house party, but instead of driving me back to my house, I requested to send me directly to Yves' place so tita Carrie and I can leave for the office together.

"Nah its okay, I'll get changed at their house. I heard Yves left with his dad for a business trip anyway."

I could see my reflection in the sideview mirror, eyeshadow almost fading, red cheeks and the large curls that were still intact. My finishing hair spray wasn't kidding when it said it can hold the curls for up to 24 hours.

I gently ran my hand down my hair, removing the knots. I decided I'll leave my hair curly as I could no longer be bothered to straighten it.

"I have hair straighteners in the trunk if you want to use it later," Denise spoke. She must have noticed that I was fiddling with my hair. I glanced at her and she glanced back getting her attention off the road.

"No it's okay babe," I waved my hand and grabbed my handbag from the side.

Tumigil ang sasakyan sa harapan ng bahay nila Yves and I was greeted by the familiar stone and iron gate of the entrance to the Guererro's home. Denise jumped out of her car to give me a hug before driving off home. I pressed the intercom system by the stone wall and waited for a response.

It didn't take a second when a voice registered in the speaker, "Pasok ka hija." It was nanang Mona's voice - Yves' personal nanny.

The gate electronically opened permitting my entrance, I greeted nanang Mona over the intercom before coming in. I walked following the pavement to reach the double doors of the entrance to their house. I didn't even need to knock as it opened before I could even reach the top of the steps.

Nanang Mona's smiling face welcomed me as she held the door open.

"Kamusta po kayo?" I beamed.

He stood a few stair steps away from me therefore I had look up to meet his eyes.
