The next afternoon, Harry was making his way to the quidditch field with Ron. The sun was shining bright over the castle, and Harry was in good spirits. The grounds hadn't seen sunshine since they arrived to Hogwarts.

Ron stretched with both arms, raising his broom over his head. The end of it knocked Harry in the head, and his glasses flew off of his face and into the grass.

"Merlin's beard, mate, sorry about that." Said Ron, going red.

Harry cursing under his breath, groped around the ankle length grass for his glasses.

" 's okay." He said, squinting.

Suddenly, a pale hand appeared in front of Harry's face, clutching his glasses. He took them and put them back on, looking up to see Malfoy's blank face.

"Er- thanks." Harry remarked, rising to his feet.

Draco nodded once, expression still blank, then swept away toward the quidditch field with his broom in hand.

Ron was looking from Harry to the blond boy with an extremely disturbed expression on his freckled face.

"Bloody hell..." He said. "Who is that and what did he do with Malfoy?!"

Harry shrugged. He was really not in the mood to have a conversation about Draco with Ron.

Ron shook his head. "I will never understand it." He mumbled.

They were now approaching the quidditch field, and Harry could see Hermione seated in the stands, waiting to watch them practice. Ron ran over to her, and she greeted him by standing up enthusiastically and kissing him with her arms wrapped around his neck. Ron had clearly forgotten the subject of Draco's strange Behavior as soon as he saw Hermione, and for that Harry was quite grateful.

The two of them being a couple didn't bother Harry, especially since they never made out or anything in front of him. He really was used to it now, but he couldn't help being a little jealous of them.

They were playing a practice playoff against the Slytherins. It surprised Harry that Malfoy had decided to participate in quidditch this year, given the circumstances, but he knew better than to be surprised by anything Draco Malfoy did anymore. He knew the boy liked quidditch maybe as much as himself, so he figured there was no reason to question his motives.

Kicking off the ground, Harry rose into the air on his broom. He let out a sigh of contentment. He hadn't flown in a while, and it was one of his favorite feelings in the world.

As the other players rose into the air and assumed their positions above the field, the referee , a volunteering Ravenclaw girl, released the balls and threw the quaffle, and the game began.

Harry's head whipped up, his eyes scanning the sky for the golden snitch. He looked around for the opposing team's seeker- Malfoy. If he was chasing something, he needed to follow him.
