Chapter 16

Shadows POV
I could hardly sleep last night. I couldn't get Amy out of my head no matter what I tried so eventually I stopped trying. Thoughts of her and me flooded my mind. This had never happened before.  it became obvious that I indeed hade strong feelings for Amy. Thinking about her brought back a old feeling. One that I hadn't felt in years. I was finally happy again. Thank you Rose.....
before I knew If my phone started ringing and I glanced at the clock it was 8am. I picked up my phone and saw it was Amy. So I answered it.
Amy: hey shad
Shadow : hey Rose
Amy: how are you feeling?
Shadow : I'm feeling fine why ?
Amy: I was just worried about you ...how are your wounds doing ?
Shadow : oh right,..well I think the doctors were exaggerating a little bit, i just have a few scrapes and bruises, nothing bad .
Amy : you sure ?
Shadow : yeah I'm sure, so are we still on for tonight ?
Amy : yeah of course
Shadow :good
Amy: I can't wait to see you... I have to go somebody else is calling, sorry shad
Shadow : alright see you tonight
Amy: bye !

Amy's POV
I was in mid conversation when somebody called me so I quickly said good bye and hung up and answered the other line.

Amy: hello?
Sonic : hey Ames
Amy : what do you want sonic ?
Sonic : well tomorrow night we are having a cookout at silvers house and I was wanting to know if you wanted to come.
Amy: yeah ill go if shadow will
Sonic : right ...
Amy : what ?
Sonic : nothing Ames I'll see you tomorrow
Amy: uh alright bye sonic
Sonic : bye

That was weird I thought as I got into the shower. Once I was done I texted rouge and asked if she wanted to go shopping for shoes and of course she said yes. We decided to meet up at the mall.

"Hey Amy " rouge yelled
"Hey " I said as I walked up to her
"What's up?" She asked
"Look I need a new pair of shoes to go with this black dress I have. asp"
" wait ... Why ? " rouge questioned
"Uh.."
"You are going on a date with shadow aren't you ! " she yelled
"Shhh don't yell it " I giggled
"Omg you two are so cute together ! Don't worry girl I will find you the perfect shoes"
"Thanks rouge"
" no problem.. So what kind of date is it ? "
" well he said fancy "
"Awe " she said teasingly
"Do you think he will wear a tux ?" I asked
"Maybe I have only seen him in one tux and that was for a mission and he was complaining the whole time." She laughed
"So has eggman said anything else about the mission tomorrow?" I asked
"Yeah he is planing on going up to the ark to get some papers and stuff I guess... he has been acting really weird lately and shadow told me to stay away from him. "
"Does shadow know that he is going up to the ark ?" I asked
"Oh of course not he would flip out "
" oh ..."
"Don't worry about it , it will only take a few hours shadow doesn't have to know"
"But what if eggman finds something up there that is dangerous or or .."
"Calm down Amy it will be fine " she laughed
"Now let's find you these shoes" she said
"Alright.."
I started to worry .. Maybe I should tell shadow myself I thought.me and rouge walked into a shoe store and we were looking at the shoes when my phone beeped. I glanced down at it and it was shadow. I smiled and read his text.
Shadow: hey beautiful
Rouge grabbed the phone out of my hand and read the text out loud.
"Ooooo , let me text for you !" she said as she turned her back to me
"No rouge !"I grabbed the phone back but it was too late she had already sent the text

Amy: hey sexy 😘 can't wait for tonight

"Rouge !!!!!" I yelled
"Well I just said what you have been thinking " rouge laughed

Shadow : I was thinking and do you wanna just skip the date and go straight to fun stuff 😏

I gasped reading the text and I covered my mouth, I was shocked at first but rouges laughing made me laugh as well.
"Great what do I say now ?" I said laughing
"Tell him okay " rouge said laughing even harder

Amy: okay 😉
Shadow: I know this is rouge, I just wanted to play along

I turned to rouge
"He figured it out !" I laughed
"What how ? It was totally believable!" Rouge said

Amy : how did you know ?
Shadow : Amy has never called me sexy but nice try 😌

Me and rouge laughed about it for a while. I ended up getting a nice pair of black heels that went perfectly with my dress.then we both headed home. and i started to get ready for my date with shadow.

Shadow POV
I actually believed the text for a few seconds but I snapped out of my little daydream. Of course it would be rouge who else should it be. I sat up and looked over at my closet I didn't want to wear anything fancy but i did tell Amy i was taking her somewhere nice so I guess I have to. I stood up and walked over and started digging through my closet trying to find something nice to wear.
"I know there is something in here i could wear " I said to myself
I finally found something that I could make work.
