Chapter 17

Amy's POV
I had just finished getting ready when I heard a knock on the the door.i smiled and walked over and opened it.shadow was standing in the door with a rose in his hands.
"Hey shadow " I said as I checked him out. He looked really nice.
" hey Rose " he said as he held out his hand.i grabbed it and he put the Rose in my hand.
"Awe thanks " I said as I hugged him
" I saw it and couldn't help but to think of you " he said wrapping his arms around me.
I smiled and pulled away
"Let me go put it in a vase and then we can leave " I said as I turned around and walked into the kitchen.
" you look amazing " he said as I grabbed a vase and filled it up with water.
"Thanks, but so do you " I replied as I put the Rose In the vase.
"Yeah but not near as good as you " he said smirking
I walked over to him and he gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Ready ?'" I asked. I was starving and couldn't wait to eat.he nodded and grabbed my hand.
" you wanna take a little shortcut ?" He said as he pulled out his chaos emerald.
"Sure " I said as I held onto him
"Chaos control " he shouted
I opened my eyes and we were in a parking lot. I looked Around and gasped.
"We are eating here ??" I asked surprised
"Yeah why not " he said shrugging his shoulders
"How did you even get reservations?" I asked
"I know a guy" he said as he put the emerald back into his pocket. He then walked up to the check in table and talked to the guy for a while until the waiter waved us through the door , I fallowed close behind as the waiter showed us our table. We sat across from each other at a small table with a few candles on it.
" this place is a lot bigger then it looks " I said looking into his eyes, they seem to glow in the dim lighting. The waiter came back and handed us menus.
"Thanks" I said to the waiter as she walked off
"This place isn't as Busy as I thought it would be" shadow said
" good maybe we will get our food quicker " I giggled
"Good point " he smirked
"Oh and I have something to tel- " I was interrupted by the waiter
"Are you ready to order ?" She asked
Me and shadow both ordered our food and she walked off.
"What were you saying Rose ?" Shadow said
"Oh well rouge was talking about the mission she is going on tomorrow with eggman "
"What about it ?" He asked
" she said that they were going to go up to the ark and I just though that you would want to know "
"Oh please they should both know that they can't get in. Even after all these years the security system still works in that place. They couldn't get in without sounding the alarms even if they tried. " shadow said
" what will happen if they sound the alarms ? " I asked
" I don't really know honestly robotnik would always hurry to fix the alarms before anything really happened "
The waiter came back with our food and placed it in front of us.
"Anyway enough about that, I wanna talk about your text message " he smirked
"Oh yeah " I laughed
" so I take it that it really was rouge that sent it ?" He asked
"Well of course, we were shopping for shoes "
"I figured it was, that's why I played along "
" what if you didn't catch on, what would have you said " I giggled
" Probably the same thing " he smirked as he took a bite of his food.
I started to blush as I took a bite
"You alright, you are blushing like crazy " he said still smirking
" yeah I'm fine " I giggled
"Oh and everyone is getting together tomorrow for a little cookout at silvers house I was wanting to go but I was hoping at you would be there "
"Yeah I'll go but sonic better not try anything" he said
" I'm sure he won't "
" what ever happened to Sally ?" He added
" rumor has it that she moved away with some other guy " I said
" well if he even thinks of trying anything I'll beat his ass "
" I'll be hanging out with you the whole time anyway so I'm sure he won't even talk to me"
" let's hope so " he said finishing his food
I giggled and finished my food.the waiter walked back over and put the check down on the table, shadow immediately grabbed it.
"I'll pay shadow " I said holding out my hand waiting for him to give me the check
" no way Rose, I got this one " he said as he put his credit card on top of the check and put it back where it was.
"Alright but I call the next one " I said
"Yeah that's not going to happen " he said looking at me
" we will see " I said smiling
The waiter came by and picked up the credit card.i glanced at the waiter then back at shadow. But he wasn't making eye contact he was looking at my chest.
"Thank you for the food shadow " I said trying to break his gaze with out making a seine.
"Oh yeah no problem " he said looking back up at my face

Shadows POV
Shit she saw me looking. Fuck. Well at lest she doesn't seem mad . The waiter came back with my credit card so I slid it back into my wallet.
" you wanna get out of here ? " I asked
"Yeah sure" she said smiling
I put a tip on the table and we stood up and walked out.
"That was really good " she said
"Yeah it was better then I thought it was going to be " I said as I took off my bow tie
I held out my hand and she grabbed it. I pulled her close and used chaos control to go back to her house.
"Thanks " she said smiling
" no problem my Rose " I said looking into her eyes, I always seemed to get lost in them so easily.she unlocked her door and opened it.
"Forgetting something ?" I asked
"What am I forgetting ?" She asked turning around
I grabbed her waist and pulled her in for a kiss.

Amy's POV
He pulled me and kissed me but this kiss lasted much longer then all the other ones. It felt like so much more then just a kiss. I pulled away and smiled
"Goodnight shad " I said
"Goodnight Rose " he said as he walked off
I went upstairs and took off my dress and put on some more comfortable cloths. I laid down on my bed thinking about the date. I eventually fell asleep.
