Chapter 26

Amy's POV
About an hour later we all met back up at the ice skating rink. I rented a pair of skates along with everyone else. Shadow was not here yet, maybe he wasn't coming I thought to myself. We all sat around talking while putting on our skates. I looked up and saw shadow walking over to us. He was holding. Pair of skates that looked like his normal shoes. He sat down across from me on a bench.
" hey shadow" I smiled
"Woah dude did you go out and buy some skates !?" Silver said picking one of them up.
" no I've had them " he said taking the skate back. He put them on and stood up. silver was already at the door that led to the ice.
"Silver wait !" Blaze yelled as she carefully walked over to him.
"Wait for us !" Tails yelled as he and sonic walked over
Knuckles and rouge held hands as they fallowed blaze. I looked at shadow and couldn't help to think about your break up
"Need help?" He asked
"I think I got it " I stood up and we walked over to the ice.
Silver was the first one on the ice. He grabbed on the edge and slowly got on.
"I a pro-" silver yelled as he fell.
"What was that silver !" Blaze laughed. She was the next one to get on the ice. She held on to the edge and helped silver up. Then Sonic got on the ice
" this isn't so bad " he took a step and fell on his face. Knuckles and rouge got on the ice still holding hands knuckles stumbled and fell dragging rouge down with him.
I looked at shadow, it was his turn, he stepped on the ice and started skating. It was like he had done it a million times.
"Woah .." I said to myself
" since when is shadow good at skating !?" Rouge laughed
"He isn't even that good " sonic said trying to get up
"He is amazing ! " tails yelled as he stepped on the ice.
"Hey shadow I didn't know you skated!" Knuckles yelled
Shadow circled back around over to us. He looked over at me, I was the only one not on the ice yet. I took a deep breath and stepped on the ice. It was A lot slicker than I thought it was going to be. So naturally I started to panic. I started to fall but shadow grabbed me.
"Thanks" I smiled
"I wanna try" silver said as he skated to the middle
"LOOOK IM DOING IT " he yelled
"Yay go silver " blaze laughed and clapped
Knuckles and rouge started to get the hang of it and sonic was still trying to stand up.
I glanced back at shadow and then back at silver. silver screamed as he fell down.
Everyone started laughing as silver was trying to get up.
"Help !!!" Silver yelled
"I can't get up !!!" He added
Shadow skated over to him and grabbed his arm and pulled him to his feet
"Thanks shadow " silver laughed
"No problem " shadow said as he helped silver back to the edge. Shadow then looked over at me. I smiled nervously . I was holding onto the edge for dear life I knew if I let go that I would fall. Shadow held out his hand which kind of surprised me. But I quickly took it I was still holding onto the wall with my other hand
"Let go of the wall" shadow said
"I can't " I laughed. Shadow then pulled me away from it.
"I can't skate " I said trying to get my balance
" I'll show you how " shadow shrugged. He pulled me closer to him.

Shadows POV
I look over to find amy glued to the wall. So I decided to help her. She looked up at me with those green eyes and I melted a little. I still loved her and I knew nothing was going to change that. I started to regret the break up. I pulled her close so if she was going to fall I could catch her. I turned around so I was skating backwards. Amy just stood there as I pulled her around on the ice.

Amy's POV
Shadow was skating backwards and I was holding onto him. Once I got comfortable I started to move my feet. I quickly got the hang of it.
" ready?" He asked
"Wait ready for what ??" I said looking up at him. He let go of me and skated away
"Come back !" I yelled as a started waving my hands trying to get my balance back.
" you can do it " he yelled back I watched him as he made a circle. He came back over to me and I grabbed his hand.
"Don't do that again" I laughed
"No promises " he smirked
We skated around holding hands for a while. Until sonic skated up beside me
"Hey Ames " he said with a smile
"Hey sonic " I said back
"Sonic watch out I can't stop !!!" Knuckles yelled as he smashed into sonic. They both fell and started to laugh. I looked at shadow
"Hey you haven't fallen yet " I teased
" neither have you " she replied
I realized that he was right. Every Time I fell he caught me before I hit the ice.
"I can fix that !" Sonic yelled as he grabbed shadow foot. Shadow let of me and fell
I started laughing which caused me to lose my balance so I fell next to him.
Tails, silver and blaze skated over laughing. Shadow looked over at me
"You okay ?" He smirked
"Yeah " I said standing up.
Shadow grabbed my hand again and I smiled
Soon after everyone got off the ice. Shadow was sitting on a bench taking off his skates when I walked over to him and sat down beside him.he looked at me.
"I had fun" I said with a smile
"As did I " he replied
"And thanks for not being mad at me anymore .." I said. he nodded and stood up.
"I'll text you " he said as he walked out. I sighed and glanced at rouge who was kissing knuckles. I stood up and walked home alone.
