Chapter 19

|Hunter's POV

I leaned against my bedroom door and sighed. What did I do? I kissed Ella while I'm still with Hayden. But is it not obvious that I like Ella way more than Hayden? So many thoughts were going through my head, so I decided to lay down.

I laid on my bed and closed my eyes.

Should I end things with Hayden and break the heart of the first girl I ever had feelings for? Or should I be with Ella and break the heart of my first girlfriend? God, what am I going to do?

My thoughts were interrupted by Hayden walking into my room, knocking as she opened the door.

"Hi, I just wanted to say goodnight." She smiled kindly and walked towards me. She placed a kiss on my cheek and giggled.

"Night." I mumbled and stood to turn out the lights.

"Oh, and how'd your talk with Ella go?" Her smile turned into something indescribable, almost as if she were planning World War 3.

"It went well, we just caught up a bit." I lied as the thoughts of the what really happened between Ella and I came across my mind.

"Oh, okay." She giggled and kissed my cheek again before walking to the guest room.

Tomorrow is gonna be a long day, I thought to myself before shutting my door again.

|Ella's POV

I woke up to hear yelling from outside. I got up and looked out my window. Brandon, Hunter, and Ashton were running around with Jeff guns and trying their best to hit one another. Hunter soon caught my glance and waved me down. I held my index finger, telling him I'd be down in a minute.

I put on a pair of light washed Jean shorts, a nike jumper, and my gray vans before walking to the bathroom and throwing my hair into a bun. I walked outside and was instantly attacked by soft, plastic bullets.

I screamed and ran over to their house. I opened the door and ran into the kitchen. I felt a body against mine and I flew back abit, hitting my back against their center island.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I said when I realized it was Hayden. She gave me a dirty look and walked away. Thinking she wouldn't hear, I mumbled, "Wow, okay then."

"You're just mad because I won." She turned towards me and gave me a devilish smile.

"Won what?" I raised an eyebrow and leaned against the counter.

"Hunter." Her smile grew and she took a step towards me. "Ever since I've entered Hunter's life, you've been nothing but the girl across the street. He's mine. So, I honestly suggest you stay away from him. I don't need to lose Hunter to someone like you."

"I didn't know we were competing for Hunter. Last time I checked, I wasn't trying to steal him away from you. So, I honestly suggest that you keep me out of your little games. I don't need to be caught in drama with someone like you." I pushed past her and walked towards the door.

I looked down at the ground, and when I looked back up, Hunter stood in front of me. His facial expression showed that he had heard everything.
