|Hunter's POV
Today is the day I leave for the Part of My Story Tour. I was excited to meet all of my supporters and see my friends, but I hated to leave Ella. The thought of her hurting herself while I was away killed me.
I finished putting my things in the back of our car as my mom and Ella's parents were talking quietly behind me.
"...he's her only friend, I don't know how she'll keep occupied... she finally agreed to do public school, so maybe she'll meet someone there..." Lilly spoke quietly, so I couldn't hear much of what she was saying. Ella didn't tell me she was doing public school?
"Oh, I left a few things inside!" My mom exclaimed once Ella began walking across the street.
"We'll help you out!" Lilly said and pushed everyone inside. They were probably just trying to let Ella and I talk in private before I had to leave.
Ella smiled at me, "Hey."
"Hey," I smiled back. "I'm really going to mis-"
I was cut off by Ella hugging me tightly. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around her. God, I was going to miss her more than I thought I would.
"I'm sorry," she said quietly and pulled away. She looked up at me with glossy eyes. "You're the only person I know here, and I've agreed to do public school. Jason thought it would be good for me to gain some friends other than 'the boy across the street'" She giggled at the end and played with her fingers.
"That's great, but you better not forget about 'the boy across the street', he told me he really likes you." I winked playfully, causing her to look at her feet and blush.
"Hunter! It's time to go!" My mom yelled behind me. I sighed before pulling Ella into my arms again.
"Wait for me." I whispered, reviving a nod in reply.
Once we were done hugging, we said our goodbyes and my family climbed into our car. I put on my seatbelt and turned to look at Ella. She waved and smiled, causing me to do the same.
"You like that girl, don't you?" My mom said as we drove down the street. I was still looking at Ella and smiled.
"I do."
