|Ella's POV
»Two Weeks LaterI wore a simple black dress with matching flats. My hair was curled slightly with natural makeup. I looked at myself in the mirror as Hunter wrapped his arms around me.
"You're the strongest person I know, I honestly don't know how you keep up with everything." He whispered and placed a small kiss against my neck. I had asked Hunter to come to my dad's funeral with me, mainly because he's the only one who can make me feel better.
"I don't either," I giggled slightly as my mom yelled for us to come down. I sighed and took his hand, walking downstairs and preparing myself for everything that was about to happen.

After the funeral and endless amounts of hugs from Hunter, we went to go speak to some family members. Of course, there were questions about Hunter and who he was. I introduced him as my boyfriend, which made me happy to even say. He was quickly liked by everyone, especially my Uncle Sean, my dad's best friend.
We were in the middle of talking to my grandparents when I heard someone call my name. I turned to see Bryson and Reghan. I teared up as they walked closer to us. I never realized how much I had missed them until now.
"Hi, guys." I smiled and and hugged them both.
"How have you been?" Reghan asked and held me at my elbows.
"Could be better," I giggled as I felt a hand on my lower back. I turned to see Hunter. "Oh, this is Hunter, my boyfriend."
"Its very nice to meet you, I'm Reghan, Ella's step mom. And this is Bryson, her brother." She smiled and shook his hand.
"Its very nice to meet you, as well. I've heard many great things about you both." He kindly said and smiled.
"I know you from somewhere," Bryson spoke up. "Is your brother Brandon?"
"Sadly." Hunter laughed, causing me to smile.
"All the girls at school talk about him." He smiled back and we started talking about the most random things.
And for the first time since my dad left, I felt at home.
