"Say the word, Emma. Say the word and I won't do it."
I sped around my room as I quickly tried to get ready. "Emma! Hurry the fuck up!" Ruby screamed at me. "I know I know!" I screamed back. I stripped off my clothes and pulled on the solid black cocktail dress before pulling on my black stilettos. The wedding started 5 minutes ago! I quickly put my hair in a messy bun and didn't even try to do makeup before I ran out of my room and downstairs to where Ruby was waiting. "Emma. We have to hurry." She shouted at me. I nodded and we ran out of my apartment. I gotta get credit for running in stilettos and not busting it.
"Fucking shit Ruby! We're not going to make it!" I screamed. It's been almost 30 minutes since the wedding started and we're still stuck in traffic. "Because you couldn't fucking make up your Mind about her until the last fucking minute! Dammit Emma. We're going to get there!" She shouted and laid on her horn, trying to get us through.
I don't have much to give, but I don't care for gold
What use is money, when you need someone to hold?
Don't have direction, I'm just rolling down this road
Waiting for you to bring me in from out the coldYou'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain,
Or how it feels to fall behind and watch you call his namePack up and leave everything,
Don't you see what I can bring
Can't keep this beating heart at bay
Set my midnight sorrow free,
I will give you all of me
Just leave your lover, leave him for me.
Leave your lover, leave him for me.We sit in bars and raise our drinks to growing old
Oh, I'm in love with you and you will never know,
But if I can't have you I want this life alone
Spare you the rising storms and let the rivers flowYou'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain
Or how it feels to fall behind and watch you call his namePack up and leave everything,
Don't you see what I can bring
Can't keep this beating heart at bay
Set my midnight sorrow free,
I will give you all of me
Just leave your lover, leave him for me
Leave your lover, leave him for me.
Leave your lover, leave him for me.I'm an idiot. I've been in love with her for years. She knows it. She felt the same for christ's sake. But I was too scared. She gave me the damn chance to keep her from marrying him. But I was too fucking scared to be judged. I told her she had to. Dammit. She came to me, crying because she was in a loveless relationship with him. She wanted to be with me. She told me she wanted to be with me. And I told her she had to marry him. This all happened last night. I woke up today, 5 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start. And yes I woke up at 5:55 pm. Because I was depressed that I told the love of my life to marry someone else. I knew I had to stop the wedding. Ruby was yelling at me the whole time to get ready and I finally did. And we're still not going to get there.
We finally pulled up at the church and I ran out of the car. It's 6:57. The doors opened and guests immediately started leaving. I felt the tears fall from my eyes and my shoulders slumped. "W-we're too late." I whispered as Ruby approached. "Emma I.." She started but trailed off. I pushed through the crowd and went into the church. I went to the bathroom and lost it. I immediately started sobbing. "Dammit Emma. You're too fucking late." I sobbed and leaned against the sink. I'm so stupid! I should've known I wouldn't make it in time. "E-Emma?" My eyes shot up to the brunette leaving the stall with tear-stained eyes. I felt more tears in my eyes as I saw her in her white mermaid gown. "What's wrong?" She asked and approached, carefully. "I-I was too late." I whispered and my tears streamed down my cheeks at an unstoppable rate. She pulled me into her arms and I lost it, sobbing uncontrollably. "I was coming to tell you Regina. I was going to stop the wedding. I was going to tell you not to marry him." I sobbed, my tears falling on her bare shoulder. She tightened her arms around my waist and I sobbed. "Don't marry him." I sobbed, knowing I was too late. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you last night. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I wanted you so bad it hurt. I'm sorry I didn't stop you." I sobbed out, my throat burning with every word. She rubbed my back gently as I cried on her shoulder. "Don't marry him." I whined again, my heart heavy knowing I lost her. "I didn't." She whispered. I pulled away in shock and she wiped my tears away, smiling. "I know you, Emma. I knew that somewhere deep inside you, you were going to regret it. And I also knew I couldn't marry him when you had my heart." She whispered. A smile spread on my lips and I pulled her into my arms, kissing her passionately. "I love you. I love you so much." I whispered and kissed her again. She squeezed my shoulders and smiled. "I love you too, Emma." She said and continued kissing me.
--------------
We stood outside the church in each other's arms and I smiled before kissing her again. "I'm so glad I just married you, Mrs. SwanMills." She whispered. I smiled. "As am I, Mrs. SwanMills." I whispered, kissing her again. "Now come on. We have a reception to get to before we can go on our honeymoon." I whispered, kissing the brunette again. She smiled. "I love you." She whispered. I nodded. "I love you too."
