Harry's body slumped up against the brick wall of Alex's house. It was as if someone took his heart out of his chest and ripped it to shreds. He loved Alex with all of his heart. But with someone with such a horrible past, could anyone ever love him for who he is? Harry was a destructive person. But that same destructive person also did all he could to keep one person happy. That one person being Alex.
Harry loved Alex. He loved with everything he could. He knew how big of a future Alex would have. He knew that someone like him could never make it with a girl like her. And that's what crushed him inside. Alex and him could never work. Today being the only example he needed.
Harry's face quickly snapped up to Alex's moms as she rested her hand on his shoulder. "Harry? Is everything ok?" She questioned.
"Uh, yeah.. Just something got into my eye.." He stuttered.
"Now do you really think I'm going to believe that?" She smiled trying to lighten the mood.
Harry's face still washed over with sadness. His heart crumbling with every second he spoke his next words. "I ruined everything.." His words faded off with tears spilling out once again.
"I doubt that-"
He cut her off. "I did ok! I ruined everything. For once I found someone in my life who I love so much. Who I would do anything for and I didn't tell her anything about my past and it all came out at once. Alex thinks I'm some drug addicted, alcoholic monster and I'm not.. Every minute I spend with her makes me so happy. She's the only happiness I have in my life. I love her..."
Harry's crying became heavy as he finally realized that he had lost Alex, she slipped right through his fingers.
"Harry, the only thing you can do to fix this is too apologize to her. Tell Alex about your past, tell her exactly what you just told me."
Harry's breathing slowed. The tears began to stop. She was right. He needed to tell Alex everything. He needed to gain that trust back that he once had with her.
Harry quickly left his spot against the wall and quickly headed to the nearest store to gather some paper, a pen and some pink and red roses.

*Alex's POV*
Alex laid covered up in her bed. The smell of Harry lingered on the sheets just from the night before. She stared blankly at the white ceiling above her, just trying to figure out what has happened just in the past 48 hours.
Her mind was swirling with thoughts. She lost a child, lost her best friends and most importantly, she felt as if she lost Harry. He wasn't the best person for Alex to be with, but she still wanted to be. Alex was upset finding out about Harry's past, but there was still that part of him that she loved. And he loved her, he proved it while at the hospital.
"Alex.. Sweetie?" Her mother knocked on the door. "Can I come in?"
"Yeah.." She croaked.
The door creaked open to reveal her mom. She looked upset. She travels her way to sit on the bottom edge of Alex's bed. "Alex, what happened between you and Harry?" She questioned.
Alex just nodded her head no and continued to look back at the ceiling.
"Please answer me sweetie.."
Alex's eyes peered up to her mothers worried face. "Him and.. Carter bickered and I found... Found out some things and I don't know really.." Her words trailed off with tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Well whatever happened I hope you can forgive him. It's tearing him apart-"
"Did you talk to him?!" Alex half boomed.
"He was outside and I was worried about him.."
"Mom you don't need to worry about him! Harry and I are old enough to handle our own situations. You don't need to check up on me or him. I'm an adult. I can make adult decisions." She ranted, giving her mother a disgusting look.
"Alex do not talk to me like-"
"Like what? Like how dad used too? How he used to yell at you and beat you-" Alex quickly stopped, realizing what she just said. Her words cut through her mom like knives.
"You know what I'm done. I'm done having you cut into my business and more importantly you can stop worrying about me and Harry. We're done and over. I will never be seeing him ever again."
Alex quickly darted up out of her bed, soon only to realize Harry and Carter standing right outside her doorway. Harry's once green eyes were dull and full of sadness. In his hands were Alex's favorite flowers. Red and Pink roses, along with a bright white envelope. Alex gave both her brother and Harry a nasty look before storming down the hall, leaving the house.
Harry's face turned white and he quickly fell to the ground, dropping the roses and letter. Alex's mother rushed to his side as he stared lifelessly at the wall in front of him.
"She's the love of my life.." He whispered, tears staining his cheeks. "I love her."
