((tw: one small mention of death))
she twirls, forgetting about the world for a while.
the music seems to mold around her movements, making a sculpture too beautiful to describe in words.
she moves her arms slowly, but surely.
her legs are strong, mighty. she flows as if the only thing keeping her alive is the dance.
but do not confuse the desperate, flailing movements of a dying man with the graceful, ever-changing existence that is her dancing.
she ensnares the audience. the toddlers leave their games abandoned as they stare in awe at the real-life princess.
the teenagers subconsciously mimic her movements, eyes wide and endless possibilities entering their minds.
the adults smile slightly, knowing that this is what dedication and true, genuine love looks like.
the elder clasp their hands together, remembering when they watched beautiful dancers capture the attention of many.
the newly wed couples hold hands and weep, because they feel as though the love that they have for one another is as strong as her love for music, and it is nothing but honoring to them.
the broken find inspiration, and they pick up a single piece of their shattered dream to begin rebuilding their fantasies.
and when she stops, it is as if the world has ceased turning, as if the entire universe is holding its breath.
and then a thunderous applause begins.
the applause shakes the earth itself, and she bows time after time, a brilliant smile lighting her face.
because she is truly making others happy by doing what makes her happy.
