"We're baaaack!" Liam cried. I got up from my spot on my bed and walked over to the door. Niall was wearing a clean ACE bandage on his arm.
"How'd it go?" I asked. It was December 27th, and Liam took Niall to the doctor's to see if he was ok.
"He got an EKG, and they checked out his arm. Everything is normal, but he needs to be out of the coldness for a while."
"What about the arm?"
"They told me to wear a clean ACE bandage everyday until my skin heals, and put on this cream every night." said Niall.
I sighed. "Somehow, Niall, I think this is all my fault."
"On what planet?" he asked.
I smiled. "Well, if I hadn't stood so close to the road, then there wouldn't have been a need to save me."
"Well, I will protect everyone I care about." said Niall. "Even if it means that I have to get hurt."
I ran over to Niall and gave him a big hug. "I'm sorry." I said.
"Hey, rather me than you, right?"
"I don't know..." I began.
"and besides, you already have Shelby to worry about, so if I eliminated one less worry, then-"
"SHELBY!" I cried, getting up.
"Niall!" Liam said.
I grabbed my luggage and opened it. I began to run around my room, throwing things in it.
"What are you doing?" Harry asked as he walked to the door.
"I'm sorry, you guys." I said, searching for my passport. "but I NEED to be home with my family now. Shelby's funeral is on Friday, and-"
Harry handed me my passport. "We'll come with you."
"What?" I asked.
"We will come home with you."
"No!" I cried.
"Why not?"
"You guys need to enjoy your free time, you're going to be super busy next week, and if you come, my family will think it's a joke!"
"So you're saying we can't be serious?" Louis asked, as he walked in.
"No, well, yes, but-"
"Looking for this?" Zayn asked as he popped in, holding my iPhone.
"Yes! Thanks, Zayn." I said, reaching up to grab my iPhone. He reached his arm higher so I couldn't grab it.
I looked him in the eye.
"Aw man." I cried, slapping my forehead.
