"For the last time," I say, grinning as I look over at Reed. "I'm in a relationship Reed, I have a boyfriend that I'm in love with." I tell her, pointing back to Reece who was in a conversation with the twins.

"I know you have a boyfriend, but that's not gonna stop me from flirting with you mamacita," Reed grins, and bumps her hip with mine and I laugh, amused.

"How much longer Reed? My feet are killing me." Lexi says from my other side, and I look over at her, a pout on her face. I raise a brow, I told her she should've gotten boots but she refused, only wanted to wear the Converse. She said they match with her clothes.

"Uh, we're almost there." Reed says, glancing at her watch. "Since it's gonna be night soon, we're gonna stay at my cousin's house that's a few hours down the road. We'll stay the night there and then go to my place, sounds good?" She looks at us, raising her eyebrows and I nodded.

"Yeah, sounds great—" I was cut off by a ear shattering bullet piercing through the air, and I cover my ears as I watch Lexi hit the ground, screaming. "LEX!" I yelled, quickly running over to her and dragging her behind a car. I duck my head as she screams, tears springing into her eyes while our friends quickly duck for cover behind other cars. "Holy crap." I breathe, crouching beside her as her hands started to stain with her blood as she press them against her leg. She got hit in the leg.

"Reed!" I scream, and she looks over at me from hiding behind a car that's across the street. "Come here, I'm gonna need your help carrying Lexi!" I say, then look to the twins and Reece. "You boys are gonna have to kill them and cover us!" I tell them and they nodded. They stand up and started to shoot, their eyes on the bad guys across the street from us.

I turn my attention back to a crying and screaming Lexi, ignoring all the bullets flying over our heads or the fact that I could go deaf with all the noise from the bullets. Pain filled her green glossy eyes as she looks up at me. Quickly taking off my leather jacket and backpack, I set my things down before grabbing my shirt and pulling it off. I wrap my shirt around her bleeding leg, my hands getting stain slightly with her blood but I didn't care, I needed to put pressure on this so the bleeding can stop. Now in a tank top, I grab my jacket and put it on before shrugging on my backpack, my M4 on my back. I look up as Reed throws a bottle of alcohol with fire and it blows up beside a car, using that as her distraction, she sprints over to us while the boys push further, shooting and ducking.

"Come on, you're gonna be okay." I say, grabbing her arm and wrapping it around my neck while I wrap my arm around her waist. Reed slides beside her other side and does the same as me, our arms around Lexi. "This is gonna hur—" Lexi shakes her head, sucks in a shaky breath.

"No, you guys should leave me. I can't even walk!" She argues, and my jaw clenches, I let go of her and I grab her face as I crouch in front of her. "Leave me! You guys are better off without me! All I'm doing is just holding you guys back," she says, gritting her teeth.

"No, no, stop saying that bullshit! I'm not leaving you here! I'm gonna help you with that gunshot, and you're gonna walk. But I am not leaving you here. You can't give up Lexi, we've been through so much and you can't give up now. Never give up." I say, pressing my forehead against hers as I look to her eyes, and she only tears up some more but she nods, a flash of determination crosses her eyes. "Good," I smile, then I grab my necklace that was hiding under my tank top and lock it around her neck. "You're gonna be fine, I'm not leaving you." Nodding at her, I wrap my arm around her waist as she wraps her arm around my neck, I look to Reed and we both nod. Standing up together, we balance Lexi and she lets out a hiss of pain as we got her to stand.
