Jeremy
"Where is she?" Reece demanded as I sat in the waiting room of the police station, waiting for my Dad to show up and tell me if they founded Octavia.
I look up at him. He looked on edge, his clothes ruffled and there was sweat clinging onto his shirt from his neck and armpits. It looked like he ran a marathon. "Reece," I sighed, standing up. It was late into the night, and I still know nothing of what was going on, other then the fact that Octavia's been kidnap.
"Where is she Jeremy? She hasn't been answering my calls, or replaying to my texts. And then my Mom calls me down from my room to tell me that something happened with Octavia. Where is my girlfriend?" He demanded, his eyes full of anger and his hands clench up in fists. Reece looked pissed, yet his eyes showed worry and concern.
"Sit down kid, first." I say, pressing my hand down on his shoulder.
"No," he shrugs off my hand, shaking his head. "I want to know where my girlfriend is, Jeremy, what happened to her?" Reece pressed.
"I'll tell you if you calm down, or they'll kick you out." I motion to the plastic chairs behind me. "Sit down, you're not going to like this." I nodded at him.
Sucking in a breath, he nods and sits down. I sat down next to him and folded my hands together, my elbows rested on my knees as I look at him.
"Octavia's been kidnapped, Reece."
As those words left my mouth, he takes in a deep breath as his eyes widened. He rubs his hands against his jeans, up and down, a few times before shaking his head. "No," he chuckles. "it's just a prank, she's around here somewhere right? She just wanted to scare me, that's all." He jumps to his feet, and shouts. "Okay Octavia! I found out about your stupid game! Come out, you're not gonna scare me!" He looks around.
I watch him as he turns around in circles, in silence, as no one moved. When he realized that Octavia wasn't here, he spins back to me.
"You're lying," he breathes, his eyes start to fill up with tears. "sh—she's not kidnapped! Okay? She's he—here somewhere; you're a liar! Octavia!" He stutters, and with force, he grabs me by the collar of my shirt and pulls me out of my seat. I grab onto his wrists, holding him, steadying him.
"Reece, look at me." I tell him, and he chokes on a sob, tears flew freely down his face. "We'll find her, okay? I promise. Dad won't sleep until we get Octavia back. Alright? She'll come back to us, she'll come home, she always come home." I reassured him. But even I don't know if that was true, what if she's dead? What if she's a million miles away from us? What if she's across the world right now? Many questions whirled around my head, but I refused to believe she was dead, if she was, then I would know in my gut.
"Promise?" He tightens his hold on my shirt, his eyes narrowing against his tears. "Promise she'll come home, no matter what. I want my girlfriend back, alive and in one piece." Reece shakes me.
