       "I already told you man!"

"Just calm down, are you sure that La Diabla is after you?"

"If she wasn't then why the fuck would I be here in the first place?!"

       "Touché. . . "

"You know what? Can I just call my Dad, I told you everything I know, alright? Let me just call my family man, please." I sigh, letting my hands fall on the metal table before me as I look up at the police man. A man in his early forties, he has a mustache and a little bit of grey hair growing already, but he looks like a man I can trust. I mean he is a police officer after all.

Officer Solano nods, smiling at me as he picks up his papers and shoves them into a cream folder. He stands up, pushing his chair back beneath the table. "As I said before, Ms. Parker, you are not under arrest. You can have anything you want." He says, his accent deep as he tucks the folder under his arm. "The phone is right outside the room, and you can talk to your family as long as you want." Officer Solano points outside the investigating room.

Nodding, I send him a tired yet grateful smile as I stand up from my own seat. "Thanks," I say, before walking around the table and moving to the door, but before I could leave, Officer Solano gently grabs my elbow. I look at him and he gives me a soft reassuring smile.

"Remember," he says, his brown eyes looking into my own, "you don't have to fight for your life anymore. You're safe now, Octavia."

"Thanks, Officer Solano, you know, for everything you've done in the last minutes, for not arresting me and Rosa." I say, and he lets go of my arm.

"Of course," he laughs, his eyes showing a bit concern. "You both will be back to your families in no time. I'll be over there if you need anything." He points to an office on the other side of the room, where a couple of officers were crowding a table filled with papers, talking to each other with grim faces. They look worried.

I nod again. He leaves the room, and I watch as he walks over to them. Sighing, I leave too and walk over to the phone booth. My fingers punch in the number of my Dad, since I knew he'll be all over in his police station, shouting at his colleagues and stuff. Bringing the phone to my ear, I lean my other hand against the wall, moving closer to the phone booth for a little bit privacy since there are cops everywhere, and it doesn't help that they look like they're on the verge of panicking.

My eyes move across the room, to where Rosa's sitting in a chair at an empty desk with an officer's jacket around her. She's quietly watching as police officers shuffle around her, speaking quickly in Spanish. She notices me looking at her, and sends me a smile. I smile back before returning my attention back to the phone.

I try to calm my nerves. We are safe, we're at a police station, they can't get us from here, they wouldn't dare, I reassure myself. Right? Demi can't be that crazy, could she?

Shaking my head from these thoughts, I look down at my bandage arm, where they had wrap my arm in a white bandage to stop the bleeding. I'm very thankful for that.
