Octavia
I gasp, jolting awake and opening my eyes.
"Don't move, the stitches are still fresh." I heard someone saying and I look over to that person, it is Demi. She's wearing a red coat that goes down to her knees and red heels, she looks over at me from her tablet. "It's about time you woke up." She raises an eyebrow at me.
"W-What?" I mumble before looking down at my body, I saw that I am still dressed in the bra I was wearing the night earlier and the shorts. A white bandage was wrapped around my side tightly, where I have been impaled the night before. I touch it lightly and suck in a sharp breath, it still hurts.
I look around me, only to see that I wasn't in the room where I spent most of my days sleeping or getting beaten. We weren't even at her mansion. The room I am in has dark wood walls, and ceilings, I'm laying down on a couch with a blanket draped over me. In front of me was a wide flat screen TV, beside the red couch I am laying on is a stand with a lamp on it. Moving my head, there was a kitchen and a dinner room then a hallway that probably leads to the bedrooms and a bathroom. This place is small compared to the mansions that Demi had.
"I know, it's small isn't it? Well, when you pulled the fire handle, it alerted the fire department and I couldn't have them find me. Did you know it took me all night trying to find this place? You shouldn't have pulled that trick, Octavia. Now I lost Kalani." Demi says, grabbing my attention and I look back to her, she was leaning against the kitchen counter, scrolling through her tablet.
I lick my lips and cleared my throat, noticing how dry it feels. "So? At least, she won't suffer anymore because of you, I did it for her. She didn't deserve this at all. She's lucky." I say, pushing myself up on my elbows as I look over at her.
"She won't be lucky for long." She flashes me a devilishly and evil smile before returning her attention back to the tablet.
"What do you mean by that?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows at her.
"Ah, here she is." Demi grins then look back at me. "I'll be leaving for a day, but I will be back. That means that you will spend a day by yourself here alone, and if you try to escape, know that if you try to step out of this house, the house will explode." She says, motioning around the house.
She then pushes herself away from the counter, putting the tablet on the counter in front of her before grabbing her purse and keys.
"What are you gonna do?" I ask, clenching my jaw as she grabs her sunglasses and starts to walk to the front door.
"Why I'm glad you ask, I'll be paying Kalani's family a much-needed visit." Demi flashes me a wide smile as she walks over to me, about to pass me but I reach out, grabbing her wrist and stopping her.
"Don't hurt Kalani, please. Don't hurt any of her friends or family. Please don't hurt Kalani, promise me you won't!" I plead and she looks at me, pressing her lips together and narrowing her eyes at me. "Promise me you won't touch her."
"No promises." She yanks her wrist away from me before heading to the front door. She grabs the handle, pulling open the door then looks back to me.
"Don't try using the internet or call anyone, they're all down anyways. And don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." She gives me a look, then nods before closing the door after her, I heard it lock.
I groan, throwing my head back on the couch and closing my eyes.
I can only pray that Demi won't hurt Kalani.
