Know Me More

 Buzz....buzz...buzz.

I groaned...but the buzzing continued. I shifted in place so I could face the other side, and groaned again; the buzzing grew louder and louder. My eyes squinted through the blurry scene, and blinked several times.

"Will you answer that thing already?" My eyes snapped open.

Who the hell said that? I shot up in a sitting position and looked around...Where the hell am I? "Earth to Ruby." I looked up at the door, to see some guy leaning on the door frame, and cocking an eyebrow at me. Do I know him? Where have I seen him before? He laughed smugly, "Are you okay?" Now was my turn to raise an eyebrow. Why would he think that I was not okay?

 "I'm fine."

 ...

"Well then, answer that phone of yours. It has been going off for two hours now." He was clearly annoyed. I looked at my phone. It stopped buzzing. I looked back at the guy, but he was not there. What the hell?!

I dragged a long breathe, and let it out slowly. I looked around once more, taking in more of my surroundings... Okay, my mind is weird when I wake up.

This was Hayden's room, and I fell asleep on his bed last night...but....who was that guy? If you think I forgot about Troy, I didn't. This was not Troy.

I got up and stretched. My phone started buzzing again, I looked at the caller's ID...Becky.

 "Hello?"

"Ruby? Oh my God, Ruby, where are you?" Her voice was loud and incredibly shaky, it scared me.

"Relax, aunt Becky. I'm perfectly fine. I just fell asleep at a friend's house, that's all."

She sighed, "You scared me to death, Ruby. I even called your friends, and both of them tried to call you, but you didn't answer." She was talking at a powerful speed that it almost made me laugh.

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I fell asleep. I'm sorry..." I always crash at friends' places. The only difference is that I call or text her before I do. But she should probably know that this is me all the time. I don't have to tell her my every move. I'm almost eighteen.

 Okay, that's a bit childish.

She sighed again. "Make sure you call your friends, okay?"

 "Okay."

"See you when you get home."

"You too... Love you." She didn't reply but I could sense she was smiling slightly, she always does it. She hung up. I looked at the screen again.....74 missed calls, and 8 messages.

Damn! Was I in some kind of coma or something?

After I called Whisper and Michelle, and getting the biggest amount of shouting and swearing I have received in my life, I walked out of the room, and paced through the hall slowly till I reached the living room. I could hear two voices talking and lightly laughing. I walked into the living room where I was greeted by silence and appalling stares. I sent a small smile to Troy who was slouched on one of the grey chairs... Shirtless, I might add.

"You finally woke up." He said in pure amusement.

I nodded sheepishly, "Yup. Where is Hayden?"

 "He's at work." He shrugged

I nodded again, and stood awkwardly still, "Well, I should be getting back, so...bye." I started to turn-

"No, wait. I still have a lot of questions for you, vampy." I so did not appreciate the nickname, but it slightly caught me off guard that he wanted to talk to me, especially since he was a total douche last night.
