I stared at the lake 200 feet under me.
I smiled and turned to face my friends. I winked at Whisper and pushed myself off and dove right into the still air.
I let my world go as I jumped. I forgot all about last night. My abnormality doubts and fears. All my worries...gone. No anger. No fear. No thoughts whatsoever.
Just the wind blowing through my hair, whipping my face and my limbs. That's what my mind was focusing on.
Sean's turn was next. And as always, he shouted his signature as he flew away. Yup. That was Sean. He screams this name or something every time he bounces off. Mostly it comes out a howl. I grinned as he did it. We should fucking be on some reality show right now.
Whisper was finally at her turn. Oh, this you had to see. She was frozen the whole time. She stood at the edge and gazed nervously at the water. She gulped and looked back at me then she stole a look at Troy.
"Come and push me." She sounded annoyed as she told me.
I chuckled and cocked an eyebrow, "can't you jump by yourself?" She looked back again at the vast space she was going to jump then at me, and shook her head "no". I rolled my eyes. I stepped closer with the thought that she would get scared of me and jump on her own, but she didn't budge. I raised my eyebrow again and made a much quicker step towards her.
That made her flinch.
She turned super fast and screamed like a kid with a broken toy. The whole way down she screamed.
Troy and Hayden were so smooth as they went off. Impressive as it is, yet they would have do it nine hundred and forty times to beat my record.
Yeah, I had a busy summer.
