Y/N's P.O.V:

10 years earlier:

"Mommy, Daddy, can you read me a story?" I asked.

"Why sure Y/N. Once upon a time, a little girl name Y/N-" They stopped. They heard footsteps, then the lights went out. I ducked behind my bed.

I grabbed mittens, my stuffed kitten, and ducked behind my bed. I grabbed my bag and packed it with my headphones and phone, my guitar, my diary, and my life long library card. Oh and my stuffed kitty. I was prepared for the worst. I guess it was correct to pack.

Soon, a girl walked into my room with a knife. She had blood all over her, so I assumed she killed the maids.

I watched as she killed my parents violently.  I watched in terror as life left my parents, tears dripping down my face. Then she noticed me.

I grabbed my bag and ran. I know I should've left the bag, but I didn't. I ran down the stairs, and grabbed my coat as I ran. She was always right behind me. Every time she got close I ran faster. Eventually, I ran so fast I couldn't see her. After a night of running, I finally sat down.

I quickly realized the fate I was given. Happiness was once easy to obtain, now, I can't trust anyone

Soon, I realized I would need money for food, so I got out my guitar and started to sing and beg for money. Some how, I manged to get enough money for a meal per day.

3 years later

I was just singing in the park when a guy asked me to help me look for his dog. I had read in books not to trust strangers like this, but I wanted to trust him, so I grabbed my bag and helped him look.

He lead me to his van, and then locked me in the back of the truck. He took me to an airport and we were in France. He took me to his manor and tied my hands up.He soon got a phone call, and had to leave. He told me not to try anything. I took my library card, and slowly cut through the ropes.

I then ran. I ran and ran  until I bumped into a girl my age.

"Hey there, what's the rush?" She smiled.

"What's it to you." I said.

"Well it seemed like you were running away fro- YOUR DRESS!!!" She yelled, pointing to my tattered dress.

"WE HAVE TO FIX IT!!!!" She yelled. She then grabbed my arm and ran towards her house.

"Father, I'm home!!!!" The girl said.

"Hello Renge, how ar- Who is this?" The man, who assume is her father, said with disgust at the end. Renge huh?

"Oh, this is, uhhhh....."

"Y/N L/N."

"Wait, as in the L/N company?" Renge's father asks with wide eyes.

"Yes, exactly. Sadly, ever since my parents were murdered, I've been homeless. Once I reach 18, I'll inherit the company and all it's fortunes, but for now it's the streets. I was just kidnapped by some wacko, so now I'm here." I said bluntly.

"Ok, so now that all the business stuff is over, come on Y/N!!" Renge said as she took my hand and lead me to her room.

She started by coming my hair. "This hair is so knotty, Y/N!!!! When was the last time you combed it? At this state, you'll never get any boys." Renge said.

"The last time I combed it was last year, and why would I be looking for boys?" I asked.

Renge gasped. "Boys are the most important thing! B-Boys are-"

"I get your drift." I said. I personally didn't want to listen to her ramble on and on about boys.

When she was done with my hair, she lead me to her closet. All I could see in there was dresses, dresses, dresses, dresses! Why were the so many! Didn't this girl own any pants?!?! I mean, at least I had pants at my old house, and I only wore the dress because I couldn't afford anything else!

"Whats wrong?" Renge asked.

"WHERE ARE THE PANTS!!! WHERE ARE THEY!!?!?" I yelled.

"Listen up Y/N, you have to work on your image, otherwise you'll never get a boyfriend! No buts, you are wearing a dress!" Renge lectured.

"Fine, but nothing pink." I said. I hate pink. I mean, I used to like it, when I was 5, but now I don't.

Renge grabbed a mostly black dress which had mostly a white collar thingy. (this is what it looked like: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/c8/46/05/c84605f73f2d534c8b241a605731e5e7.jpg)

"AWW YOU LOOK SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!" Renge gushed.

A few days later

I showed Renge my singing, and how I earned money. She watched in awe. On the streets, she joined me everyday. Because she gave me shelter and food as long as I was there, I decided to buy the game she kept rambling on about. It was called"Uki Doki Memorial!"

Once I had enough money, I snuck out and bought the game.

One night Renge was rambling about Uki Doki Mermorial when we heard knocking.

"Hello Mr Houshakuji, I'll be taking Renge to work for us now." I saw the look in Renge's eye. She looked shocked and sad, but knew this day was coming. I saw the tears in her eyes.

I then looked at her father. He looked so upset to see his daughter have to go away. Then I realized something. I had been in almost the same situation. As much as I didn't want to help anyone, I realized how much Renge had done for me. I had to do something in return for her.

"Hey, do you think I could take her place instead? All of the money could go to their family. Please?" I asked. Renge and her dad looked at me in shock.

"I don't suppose why not, sure." The woman said.

"Hold on before we go." I grabbed my bag and took out the game.

"Here Renge. I know how much you wanted it, so I spent the money I made to buy it." She looked at me with tears in her eyes. She then embraced me in a hug. I felt the tears roll down my face, just like they did when my parents died. It's been so long since I cried.

"Ok, well the lady is waiting for me, I have to go." I said with a few sniffles.

The lady then lead me to her limo, and I got in. I waved good bye to Renge and her dad.

"So, tell me, little girl, why did you take the job? Renge signed up because her dad is going bankrupt, but why are you taking the job?"

"I-I guess it was because, I can relate to their situation. My parents died when I was 5, and I know how it feels to be in that situation." I said in tears.

"I see. I would like for you to meet my daughter, Eclair."

So, the lady lead me inside. I then saw a girl my age.

"I don't like her, please take her away from my sight."

The woman then gave me an ticket back to japan. "It seems I've made a mistake, I thought Eclair would like a friend, but I guess I was wrong. I'm sorry, but Renge and her Dad will get the money. Good bye."

And just like that, I was off back to japan. Those few days in Paris felt like years.

Time-Skip to now

So here I am. Back with Renge.

"Let's say we catch up on things, ok?" Renge asks.

"Ok!" We were about to walk out of the house, and I turn to see the hosts shocked faces freaking out. You know, I realized that no matter how hard I try, I could never act coldly around them. I guess I'm under their spell.

But if that's the case, bring on the magic!
