Chapter 9: Time for action

(Star's POV)

I lie down on my bed. The walls are still a rainbow of colours. I have only just left Marco's room. He was right, Avery was standing outside the door as I left. I look at my clock. It read 2:45am. "Ugh," I sigh. "Why can't I settle," I think. The whole day, Marco had been very secretive. I'm starting to worry. And what had he been doing in the room with Avery. I shouldn't worry, she is a great person, she wouldn't cheat on Zach. I take a breath and close my eyes.

I wake up to the sound of an alarm going of. I slap by my side rapidly to try and get Marco to turn it of but then realise that he is in the other room. I open my eyes and realise that the alarm is coming from a red rotating light in the ceiling. I run out of my room and meet the others. They are all gathered around the main console.

"Crime alert!" Yells Zach. "Dr. Light and brother blood have teamed up with the H.I.V.E and are ransacking down town jump city. We are seriously outnumbered, but together, we can save the city."

I join the circle in between Marco and Stella. "You aren't outnumbered, you have me, Marco, Stella, Dipper and Mable. They are the outnumbered ones."

Zach smiles. "Ok, we have intel that they are after an orb that is held in the Jump City Vault." He brings up a picture if the orb. I could have sworn I had seen it before. "Titans, Go!"

We arrived at the scene of the crime. I had swapped out my normal dress for a skin tight black combat suit, with holster for my wand and scissors. Marco had changed into a more flexible choice of clothes to keep up with his constant shape shifting. Dipper was wearing a grenade strap across his chest holding a bounty of potions and a holster for his book at the back. Stella and Mable hadn't changed. The hive monster truck had its back up against the door to the vault. It was surrounded by a troop of people with divide signs on there tops. Raven had them running for the hills in a few seconds. Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Stella, Dipper and Mabel ran towards the front door as Me, Marco, Zach and Avery ran through a portal I hastily cut with my scissors into the back of the safe. As we ran in we were confronted by Jinx and Gizmo. Gizmo had a blaster pointed at Zach and Jinx had two, one pointed at Marco and one pointed at Avery. Avery was grabbing onto Zach's arm. Marco was slowly trying to shuffle towards me, but every time he got close, jinx would force him away. "Oh, look at what we have here," Jinx said, while Gizmo laughed. "Catch of the day. The leaders of the Titan's," she looked over to the two them. "And what's this, oh, this is to good." Gizmo was laughing so hard, he was at risk of collapsing. "They are married. Wow, I didn't expect this. Gizmo," She tossed him one of her guns. "Keep them here." She walked over to Marco. "I want to take my time with this one." She was so close to him that the blaster was pressing him against the wall. I snapped.

"KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OF HIM!"

She walked over, not moving the gun off of his chest. She raised her hand and gave me an almighty slap. "You need to respect the person with a gun to your boyfriend's chest." I looked over at Marco. He was trying his hardest to keep calm. He took a deep breath, then froze. His fingers started to extend. Gizmo had his back to me while he was taunting Zach and Avery, and Jinx was too concentrated on me to notice. His fingers reached into one of my holsters and grabbed my scissors, before opening a portal behind gizmo and silently pulled him in. Zach and Avery walked behind Jinx. Marco shuffled on the spot as his hands turned back to normal.

"Hey Jinx." Marco called.

She spun around. "What?" She was met with two fists to her face. She collapsed. I took my scissors back off of Marco and opened a portal bellow Jinx and she fell through. We walked over to the front to see Mabel, Dipper, Stella, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy. They were triumphantly standing over a collapsed pile of super villains. Cyborg turned around.

"Guys, we got most of them, but we couldn't find Jinx or Gizmo."

I whipped out my scissors. "I reckon I can answer that." I cut open a portal above the pile, and out fall Gizmo and Jinx. As they hit the pile, a large groan rings out around the pile. "Now, let's see what it's is they were stealing." Cyborg opens a hatch on his chest and pulls out a semi transparent orb.

"It's called the orb of evaporation."

Zach pipes in. "Why would anyone want it? It isn't even valuable."

I look at Jinx. She is still knocked out. I raise my hand as high as I could, the flung it downward and gave Jinx the hardest slap I could. The sound resonated around the room and she splutters back to consciousness. "I guess I deserved that. So, what did you bring me round for?"

Zach stepped forward. "We need to know why you wanted this orb so badly."

"Well, you see, I don't want it, neither do the rest of us. The H.I.V.E, Brother Blood and Dr. Light got an anonymous transmission. It said that they would pay $50,000 each for the collection of this orb. It then said that we would receive $5000 each for each collection of 3 more artefacts. It even gave us coordinates of where to send them.

I stepped forward. "Thank you, we have what we want." I then opened a portal below them and they entered the Arkahm Asylum.
