Haley's POV

The car stopped moving and I looked around nervously.
"Where are we?" I asked, a hint of anxiety in my voice. His expression changed to worry. He reached over, gently squeezing my hands in his.
"It's okay. I brought you to my band practice." What? Ricky was in a band?
"You're in a band?" He chuckled.
"Your shirt ring a bell?"
I looked down at the shirt he had given me to wear, and back to his perfect face. He was in Motionless in White.
I just stared at him in complete shock. I felt like a great fan, I didn't even know the band members.
Ricky slipped out and ran to my door. He pulled me up, wrapping his arm around my waist, holding me comfortingly.
"Thank you." I whispered as I looked up into his eyes.
We walked to the door, Ricky walking in first, hiding me behind him.
"Where's the chick?" Someone asked.
"She didn't want to meet you assholes." Ricky replied as he pulled me to stand in front of him.
I heard a whistle and felt my face flush red and hid in Ricky.
"Shut the fuck up." He said, a little more defensively than necessary.
We walked into the open room where there were five guys sitting on couches watching tv.
"This is Balz-" Ricky was cut off by the guy we was motioning to.
"Call me Josh."
"You know Chris, this is Brandon, Ryan, and Ghost."
"Call me Devin." I waved shyly.
"I'm Haley." I looked around and saw one of them staring intently at me, Josh was it?
Ricky cleared his throat and Josh immediately averted his gaze. He pulled me to sit in his lap next to Chris.
"Are we not practicing today?" Ricky asked.
"We just couldn't go on without you, Rick." I laughed.
"Sorry, that's my fault." I said, lowering my head.
"It's cool, we needed a break from Rick and his shenanigans anyway." Said Ryan who was sitting beside us on the couch. He reached over and punched him on the arm.
"Asshole." Ryan said while rubbing his shoulder.
"I'm hungry!" Whined Chris who was on the other side of the room.
"Of course you are, fatty." Said Ricky, I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed. I gently slid off his lap, to his other side, and snuggled myself into his chest.
"Awwwww!" Brandon cooed at us, making me hide my face in his jacket. He smelled of cigarettes and vanilla.
"Back to food. Can we get some?" Chris asked impatiently.
"Yeah, if you pay." Everyone started laughing at that.
"You want something to eat?" Ricky asked, looking down at me.
"Not really." He frowned.
"You're going anyway." I hadn't eaten anything today and I wasn't in the mood for food. I rolled my eyes and playfully hit him.
"Oh, we got a sassy one here!" Laughed Josh. I glared at him. He threw his hands up in surrender. I felt Ricky laugh beside me.
Almost at once, the guys stood up and walked toward to door. Ricky grabbed my hand and pulled me to sit on his lap.
"I'm not driving." He said matter-of-factly. Ryan turned around and looked at him.
"I guess we'll have to squeeze into my clown car then."
There were seven of us so I ended up sitting between Ricky and Devin. He healed my hand the whole way to the restaurant.
When we arrived, everyone filed out of the car and piled into the door. Our waiter eyed us up and down, rolling her eyes at us. She led us to our table where I sat beside Ricky and Brandon.
"You sure you don't want anything?" Ricky asked, trying to get me to order something.
"I'm sure, I'm a little shaken up still."
"Alright." He sighed in defeat.
----------
When we got back to the guys' house, Ricky said goodnight and helped me into his car.
We sat in silence the whole way back to the apartment building.
Ricky walked me back to my apartment.
"Call me if you need anything." He said, leaning in to kiss me. Out of habit, I backed away. Immediately, I saw the hurt on his face.
"I- I'm sorry, I'm just not ready for that."
"No, I'm sorry. I should have asked." I hugged him, savoring his comforting grip. Finally I let go and unlocked my door.
"Thanks for tonight. I had fun." He shook his head and walked down the hall.
I threw my keys on the table and walked to my room. I grabbed a pair of shorts and a tank top and walked to the bathroom.
I let the water heat up and thought about what had happened today. I could be dead right now if it weren't for Ricky.

Ricky's POV
I walked up the hall to my apartment and sighed as I walked in. That was a long day.
Opening my bedroom door, I walked in and grabbed a pair of boxers. I then walked down to my bathroom and turned the water on.
I let it wash the day away. I washed my hair and got out. Looking around for a towel, I opened every drawer I had until I came up one under the sink. Inside was a small, wooden box. I stared at it lustfully and finally caved in, I reached over, and laid the box on my counter. I dried off and slipped on my boxers.
Sitting down on my counter, I slid the box open. I had been almost two weeks clean. I missed this so much.
I sighed, grabbing the small razor blade from the bottom. The edge gleamed as I turned it over in my palm. After cleaning it off, I stretched out my arm and laid the razor over top my last unravaged patch of skin. Taking a deep breath, I pushed the blade down and drug it an inch.
I felt the adrenaline course through my veins as the blood trailed down my arm. That wasn't enough, I needed more. Placing it just below the last cut, I followed the same motions again and again until I had opened passed scars and there was a pool of blood in the sink. I cleaned it off and bandaged the fresh wounds. Standing up, I looked at myself in the mirror. How pathetic, two weeks of hard work literally just went down the drown.
The door screeched as I slowly opened it and walked back to my room. I crawled into my bed and laid there, staring at the ceiling.
I heard a silent knock at the door and stiffened. Crawling out of my bed, I opened the door to find a short figure standing there.
"Haley?"
"Yeah, I um, I almost c- I couldn't sleep." She stopped herself and changed what she was about to way.
"You can tell me." I said sadly.
"I got a shower and I saw my blades and I wanted to cut so much. I didn't know what to do so I came here." I pulled her in for a hug, and felt her tense body relax. She pulled back and wrapped herself around my arm.
I gasped in pain and saw he pull back in shock. She reached over, turning on the light and revealing my latest masterpiece.
"You- Ricky- why didn't you tell me?" She questioned, the hurt and tears obvious in her voice.
I looked down at my feet and felt her wrap her arms around me. Haley started to weep and I couldn't help but join in. We just stood there crying. I her up bridal style and carried her to my bed. I laid her down and crawled beside her. I laced my arm around her waist and pulled her close. Soon her breathing evened out and she was asleep.
