Chapter: Eleven (Beta Training)

Jarlan's POV

"The pack will always respect the Beta, if they don't we have higher authority over them and use our power to make them submit."

For the entire morning Kaydon had started me on my Beta training lessons.

"Will this work for Bree too?" I asked.

He nodded, "Yes when you become Beta she will become Beta female and will gain the power you will have. Once that happens you and Bree will become the Beta pair of this pack."

"So will Kitty be giving some lessons to Bree?" He nodded.

"Bree is with Kitty and Raven right now" Kaydon said, "They will be teaching her the duties to being a Beta's mate."

Kaydon and I walked on a bit more before he started talking again, "Another thing, you will be spending a lot of time with Asher, Derek and I during meetings or even just talking about the pack or even battle plans."

"Did you hear that Drake and Flair are mates?" I asked getting of topic. Kaydon smirked and nodded, "Yes I did. Drake will have his hands full with her."

I chuckled, "And I thought Raven was bad but Flair but just be worst."

Kaydon and I sat on a bench looking out over a frozen lake, the sun shone on the ice making it shine with beauty.

"This is truly beautiful" I smiled.

Heck ya! I heard Apollo say.

"Apollo agrees too."

Kaydon nodded, "So does Andrew."

I frown for a moment then understood, "Your wolf?" He nodded, "Yes he really likes you and Apollo, you were his first though too when we were deciding on an apprentice."

"How is Kitty?"

"She's a special woman, even though this barren thing has devastated her she still keeps a smile on her face and keeps on moving."

I looked back at the ice, "Bree's like that too, She's so perfect but..."

Kaydon straightened and looked at me, "But what?"

I said nothing.

"But what Jarlan" his voice was getting firmer.

"But I feel like I won't be enough for her, she's so perfect and I just don't think I can match the way she is. I'm not sure I can be the best mate to her because she deserves one."

Kaydon blinked and smiled, "What you just said Jar... proves you are the perfect match for Bree, You love her, your heart hurts because you want to finish the mating process because you love her so much. Am I right?"

I sat there for a moment lost in thought, he was right I did love Bree so much but she doesn't know yet because I never told her. Should I tell her?

"Jarlan?"

I blinked, "Yes your right."

"I thought so does she know?"

I shook my head.

"Then you should tell her, she can't know if you don't tell her" Kaydon stood up, "Let's go inside."

"Nyomi have you seen Bree?" I asked our Healer.

She nodded, "Yes she's in her room."

"Thank you Nyomi" I smiled, "How are things going with you and Matt these days."

Nyomi closed her eyes, "It's been great, for the longest time I thought I didn't need a mate... but I was wrong the Moon Goddess was smart to give him to me."

That's the same with Bree! Apollo wined, She's a gift from the Moon Goddess!

That's so true.

"That's good Ny, I'm glad you and Matt are working things out."

I left her after a while and walked up the stairs towards my mate's room. I very gently opened the door to see her laying on her bed she was sleeping very quietly her body barely rising. Her hair messy on her pillow.

I very quietly tip toed towards her bed and keeled down beside her. I gently brushed her bangs away from her beautiful face and gave her a pepper kiss on her forehead then pulled back.

She's so perfect, Apollo whispered.

She is.

She was the sweetest girl I have ever met. I really do love her... that I am 100% sure off. I am in love with her.

I closed my eyes an sent a silent prayer to the Moon Goddess, Moon Goddess... mother of all werewolves I just want to say thank you, for giving me a perfect mate like Bree I vow I will always protect her.

I wrote this chapter on my Laptop and it is so much faster. So if I continue to write these on my laptop then they should be so much faster when I'm not doing homework. Also a little author note I have put My Sexy Romanian Beta on hold for a bit because I'm having a writers block with it. What I might do is finish this story and work on Blackfoot's Challenge then go back to it. Do you guys like Jarlan and Bree? I love there relationship even more then Raven and Asher, maybe because I love Jar a little more. Have a great day :)
