Chapter: Twenty-four (A New Hope)

Nyomi's POV

"I just need you to fill out the forms and everything will be set" Asher said handing Matt some papers.

I sat beside him while eyeing Raven's growing belly, "I see your baby is growing" I smiled at her.

She nodded then glared at Asher, "He keeps saying it's a boy."

"I can tell that it's a boy" he smirked.

Raven crossed her arms, "How do you know it's not a girl?"

"I could check for you" I spoke up.

She chuckled, "I'm just joking Nyomi I want to wait until it's born to find out what it is."

"And done!" Matt said and handed the papers back to Asher. 

He looked them over and nodded, "Alright you two. She's in the other room and she's yours now."

I nodded and almost ran to the other room.

It had been two months since Korpra's death and everything somewhat went back to normal. The Warlock Kingdom went home to mourn the death of their fallen.

Our pack also mourned for two of our wolves. 

The two were mates and sadly they left behind a little girl.

"A little girl that is ours now" Matt whispered.

"I know but deep down we aren't her real parents" I sighed.

"We'll have one soon my dear Nyomi Denra" Matt kissed me.

I rolled my eyes in the past two months there were also a lot of Weddings. 

Mine and Matt's, Jarlan and Bree's and Drake and Flair. 

And I was no longer Nyomi Alder Healer Apprentice. I was now Nyomi Denra Healer of the Red Rising Pack. 

My dear mentor Vayrin went back home to the Warlocks. They needed a Healer, and I stayed here with the Pack Doctor Kari.

I opened the door to a room and sitting on the floor was a little girl with dark brown hair and brown eyes. 

"Alexis?"

She looked up at me, "Are you going to be my new Mommy?" She asked quietly.

I keeled down, "Yes sweety I am. And Matt here will be your new Daddy."

She buried her face in her legs, "I miss my old Mommy and Daddy!" She cried.

I pulled her closer and hugged her, "I know you do but remember just because their gone. It doesn't mean their gone forever. You'll see them again one day, and I know their watching over you right now."

She looked up at me and hugged me. I picked her up and Matt opened the door for us. 

I breathed in the smell of Alexis's hair. It smelt like strawberry shampoo and as we walked away one thought came to my mind, I have a daughter now. And her new name is Alexis Denra.

Jarlan's POV

"Come on Bree, we have a Pack meeting to get to" I said sitting on our bed.

"I know Jarlan but I have to do my hair!" She struggled to comb it, "I look like I just got out of bed!"

I chuckled, "You did just get out bed."

"Exactly!" She huffed and finally put her hair into a messy bun.

"Come on Love you look perfect, now lets go."

I locked our door and glanced at a number plate on the door.

Room 205 Jarlan and Bree Mgart

"Come on." Bree grabbed my hand and dragged me to the conference room. Kaydon and Kitty were waiting for us, "Cutting it close Jarlan" Kaydon joked looking at his watch.

We went to the stage and sat on the couch next to the podium Raven, Derek and Alina were sitting there too. 

In the front of the crowd I could see Mark, Martha, Drake, Harley, Jack, Allia, Era, Winter and Flair who was sitting next to Drake.

I sat down next to Kaydon just as Asher arrived.

He got to the Podium and began to speak, "My fellow Pack members, I have brought you all here today to talk about the legacy of this pack."

I looked at Bree and she shrugged.

"My Grandfather Hal Reon was a brutal and ruthless wolf who brought shame onto this Pack. Thanks to my Father Mark Reon he was able to fix the reputation of this pack and I too intend to make this pack greater than it's ever been, in a good way. It's our decisions that will impact this Pack. For the greater good is your decision. But in the Red Rising pack as your Alpha it is my decision that I want this pack to have the best reputation... So when it's my child's turn to lead, it can follow a good legacy that this pack has kept for it's generations." 

The room was filled with clapping. 

He turned to the Fairies. 

"Allia of  Air, Era of Earth, Winter of Water and Flair of Fire... This pack thanks you for your help in riding us of the evil Witch" Asher nodded to them.

Allia stood up, "We promised we would only help this pack get rid of Korpra and then we would leave. But your pack has treated us like family, like part of our pack and we thank you for it. And we ask if we could join your pack and guard over it."

Raven stood up and took the Podium from Asher, "Of course Allia. You and your sisters were Pack from the moment you helped us. And Let us also welcome our new Pack members, two who help rescue my brother and his mate and fought with us during the Final Battle."

Xavier smiled. His Mate Summer and two daughters Autumn and Sparrow were brought into the Pack after the good deed Xavier and his son Lyon did. 

Kaydon also walked up with Kitty and I frowned, What were they going to talk about?

I have no idea, Apollo said.

"Asher, Raven, Kitty and I have something we would like to say" Kaydon said. Asher nodded and her and Raven moved away from the Podium. 

"As you all know Kitty is Barren and cannot have any pups to carry out our Legacy. But we did choose Jarlan and Bree Mgart as the new Beta that we have been training. I see no reason now to keep this position and therefor I'm giving it up."

My heart started to race. I knew what he was doing!

"So Kitty and I step down from Beta and give the role to Jarlan and Bree. The new Betas of the Red Rising Pack!"

Ha! Jarlan and Bree are the new Betas! And Nyomi has a new little girl!" I will explain more in the Epilogue.
