Alyssa Valdez, now risen from the dead (literally) and now Alyssa Caymo Valdez-Ahomiro, is thirteen years old. Even with her mech-heart and somehow obscured memories, she had learned to accept the fact that she is different from the other children (or teens) around her. Alyssa never questioned why. At a young age, she knew that she could never be...

"Normal" as the other people said.

So is Amy. Amy Ahomiro, once couldn't walk miraculously could now with the complex and also complicates contraption on her back.

Alyssa had no trouble breathing. Infact, she can breathe underwater seven minutes straight, run for miles three hours nonstop and not get tired. While Amy, can also do the same things, she is more flexible and alert only she could not breathe seven minutes straight.

They also have something in common...

They are both quiet. They never really talk unless needed in school.

That's right. In school. They study in UST too. It was the nearest in Mr. Ahomiro's house and company that he works in as a mechanical engineer. Wires and the likes is his work and so is business to other companies. And speaking about work, Alyssa and her bestfriend/sister, Amy was working on their report. Being seventh graders was sure an adjustment to both. Their teachers were "terrors" as they described them and they are slowly getting annoyed.

"The hell..." Amy sighed with her famous accent. After all, she's from New Zealand. "When I studied at NZ di naman ganito ah..." She leaned back at the headboard of her bed and put away the laptop. "Tsk... So annoying."

Alyssa raised an eyebrow in amusement. Amy complaining is and will always be funny for her. Amy had her eyebrows meeting together and a scowl on her face and ears getting red.

"Aren't teachers supposed to be the one who'll teach us about these history blah blahs to us and not the other way around?" Amy continued.

"They're being lazy that's why." Alyssa agreed.

"Argh!" Amy growled and stood immediately. "This is why WE get lazy." She paced in the room. "Tapos, they'll get angry and tell us that we are lazy while THEY laze around instead. Nakakabanas!"

"Kalma, pre..." Alyssa soothed, her eyes still stuck on the monitor of her laptop and typing away.

"Tsk." Was Amy's only reply as she went back to her bed and her laptop to resume typing.

"Tapos itutuloy din..." Alyssa mumbled.

"Of course! I don't want to fail." Amy said.

Alyssa shook her head trying not to laugh and read her history book and began summarizing it.

Alyssa finished her report first so she went up to Amy's part of the room. She took a peak at Amy's bookshelves. Alyssa read the titles of each book. She had noticed Harry Potter, Hunger Games, To Kill A Mockingjay, some Star Wars comic books until she had noticed a book. A simple title that caught her eye.

"Yo, Amy." She called out.

"What?" Amy replied, not looking away from the laptop screen.

"May I borrow this book called, The Little Prince?"

"Yeah... Whatever."

"Thanks." Alyssa said and went back to her side of the room and sat on her leather swivel chair and began reading.

"I know you are different." The little prince said, crouching down on the small bud. "You'll be a miracle..."
