Walking down the steps i can already here my friends outside being louder than ever and can smell the food cooking. The music is playing faintly in the background and i laugh at what i hear it is. Some stupid song my Taylor Swift which makes me laugh even harder when i go out side and i hear one of the girls arguing with someone about not changing the song because she speaks from the soul. Rolling my eyes i can tell its total bullshit and just her way of trying to annoy the boys. Looking over I see Dylan not paying attention so i decide to go over and try and scare him. Being as quiet as i can i go over and tap on his shoulder.
"Hi Rosie" he says calmly while flipping a burger.
"POO! Howd you not get scared?!" i yell upset that i didnt scare him
"How could i not notice you walking over to me? Plus im a werewolf nothing can sneak up on me!" He says laughing. Ignoring him i go over and sit with my girls.
"Hey chickas!!! I missed you." I say giving them a hug
"We missed you too!" Saph says
"Yeah! How come you didnt tell us you were here? We wouldve hung out with you!!!" Kylee says angerily.
"Weeell...1.you knew i was here because you live here seeing as its the pack house and youd obvi be able to smell my scent. 2. I was supposed to be hanging out with Dylan not all y'all and 3. Im sorry" I say counting off on my fingers the reasons why they shouldnt be pissed at me
"yeah well it still sucks" they say giving me a light shove just as Dylan yells the foods done. All the guys go running over to the food table while us girls walk over slowly chatting about random things. Everythings going great and is lots of fun until they all stop talking and look over at the door. Weird...
"What is it??" i say looking around.Turning around i see Matt standing by the door looking scary and intimidating. Ohhhh!!!
"What are you doing here Matt" Dylan says looking away from his brother and continuing to eat.
"I was invited" he says curtly before glancing at me then back at his brother. Everyone looks at me like ive grown two heads. Raising my hands up in surrender i say -
"Hey yea i kinda sorta maybe invited the big bad alpha to our get together." The girls look at me like im crazy while the guys just nod their heads and continue to eat and chat together about sports or something.
"What! He's my mate I cant not invite him plus i like being around him" i whisper to them and they both whisper back that we are going to have to talk about him being my mate later. Crap! They are gonna give me heel for not mentioning i knew he was my mate this entire time. Sighing i go over to Matt.
"So im big and bad now?" he says smirking down at me. Damn I shouldve worn heels so hes not looking down at me.
"Oh shutup! Theres food over there if you re hungry and if you aren't then you can come over and sit with us. We are just talking about random stuff. Just try and be nice to them, okay?"
"I'm not really hungry but i will take a kiss before going over to your friends"
"Yeah well that sucks for you ca--" i start to say before he cuts me off by pressing his lips to mine. He licks my bottom lip asking for entrance which i grant and wrap my arms around his neck. Our tongues wrestle for dominance which he wins but I'm fine with that. He tastes soo good i can feel myself getting lost in his mouth until i hear several people clearing their throat really loudly. Pulling back and taking a step away from Matt i turn around to see all my friends looking over at us and i swear my face turns as red as a tomato.
"Uhh sorry" i say which causes them to all start laughing. Looking over at Matt i see he looks perfectly calm. Pulling on his hand i bring him over to the guys who are still laughing their asses off. Smacking everyone in the head i start to sit down in my spot when Matt sits there and pulls me on his lap.
"HEY! Why'd you smack us?!!" Tanner yells at me while i glare at Matt for taking my seat.
"Because you guys were being jerks and laughing at me!! That's why." I say turning away from a smirking Matt and looking over at all of them.
"Whatevs Rose. So how long have you two known you guys were mates?" Kylee asks acting like shes innocent while eating some fruit.
