Gasping i open my eyes and look around. Where am i? I cant see a single thing around me its all black

"Hello?"

"Welcome Rose, I am the Moon Goddess"

"Where are we? Wheres Matt? Where are my friends? My mom and dad?"

"You are in after"

"After? But that means....that...that I'm dead. I cant be dead. Wheres Matt? I cant be dead he needs me and i need him. STOP PLAYING WITH ME! WHERE ARE WE?!"

"Rose calm down its okay. I need you to calm down and take a deep breathe. Are you calm?"

"Uh huh"

"Good now i need you to listen to me carefully and try not to freak out again"

"okay...."

"We are in After its the space between dead and alive. You are not dead you are in resting. You and your wolf have been through a lot of trauma recently and your body is not physically ready for your spirit yet. Do you remember what happened to you?"

"Not completely all i remember is leaving the store and talking to Matt"

"Something awful very very awful happened to you Rose. Things that no one should ever have to deal with have happened to you and i need you to be ready for that when you go back. Because when i send you back memories of what has happened to you will rush your body full force and if you let them take control over you YOU WILL DIE. Do you want to die?"

"Nnn..nn..no"

"Good, now as for your mate and friends they aren't doing so good. They are worried about you and your mate is taking it the worst but hes trying. The longer you stay here the more he gets worse but i cant send you back til i know you will be ready."

"How will you know that I'm ready?"

"I already know"

"So I'm ready?"

"No"

"When will i be ready?"

"You'll see, now follow me." I know shes the moon goddess and everything but man she is getting on my nerves. She wont tell me what happened to me, she wont tell me how long I'm going to be her or even when ill be ready! I love her because she is my goddess but is it really necessary to be so secretive? Following her through the white fog we arrive at  what looks like a window.

"Whats going on?"

"Well I'm going to show you your wolf. Shes broken down and only you can help her. If you can heal her and get her through the pain shes in I will know you are ready and can be sent back to your body. Do not rush but also do not take to long because the longer you take the longer your soul will have been away from your body and then your body will die. If your body dies you will leave after and go to heaven and will not be able to return."

"WHAT?! YOU'RE SAYING IF I CANT HELP HER THEN I DIE AND WONT BE ABLE TO SEE MY MATE, FRIENDS OR PARENTS EVER AGAIN!!!"

"Yes"

"Okay i can do this. How do i heal her?"

"I cannot tell you that"

"WTF MOON GODDESS! I love you and i wouldn't be here without you and all that jazz but what the literal f*ck. Im supposed to do this all on my own without any help or instruction?" i say looking at her like shes gone crazy.

"Yes rose and i believe you can do that just fine. I'm going to leave now, good luck my child." she says before vanishing into the fog around her. Looking through the window i see a wolf that looks exactly like me when I'm in wolf form except its fur is matted and clumpy. It has no shine and the wolf is just laying there lifeless and broken. It immediately makes my heart hurt thinking about that wolf as mine and how hurt and in bad shape she is. Going through the door next to the window i enter the space that shes in an walk over to her. When I get close enough i drop to my knees and reach out to touch her.

The she wolf flinches away form my hand and starts whimpering and shaking harshly.

"Shhhh...shhhhh its okay its okay. I'm not going to hurt her little babe. No i would never hurt you." At the sound of my words she stops whimpering and the shaking subsides a bit but i can tell shes still rattled up and scared. Softly and slowly I place my hand on her and gently rub my hand on her whispering soft and loving words to her. Eventually she stops shaking entirely.

"I don't know what has happened to you little babe but i can tell it was bad. I'm so sorry that what happened happened to you. I'm here for you sweet darlin' and I'm never going to leave you. You can count on me to protect you and love and all cherish you forever and always because you know what? You're my literal spirit animal. We are one in the same and i don't treat myself as anything other than amazing because if i don't treat us as amazing how can i expect someone else to? You probably don't understand a lick of what I'm saying to you sweet darlin' but that's okay cause you know what? I'm going to keep petting and rubbing you and giving you all the love and care you need til you are healthy and strong again." I whisper in her ear softly while i stroke her fur.

I don't know how long i sat there petting and talking her to softly. Sometime later i had fallen asleep and the shewolf licked me awake. Looking at her I can see her fur has gotten its shine and shes happy. She looks o much more alive and healed than she did before. I did it, I healed my she wolf and she's all better.

"Moon Goddess! I did it! Did i take too long? Did i miss my chance to go back please tell me i didn't miss my chance to go back" i can feel the tears starting to build up in my eyes but i refuse to let them spill over til she tells me.

"No Rose you made it just in time. I am very proud of you my child," she says smiling.

"So where do I go? How do I leave After?"

"You just picture your mate and he will appear to guide you back. I just want you to know that you wont remember any of this when you go back to Earth. I love you Rose Sapphire White you are my child never doubt that."

"I love you too Moon Goddess." I give her a hug before closing my eyes and thinking back to the moment he told me he loved me. The look in his eyes when we saw we were made for each other

"Rose" I hear Matts voice and i open my eyes and see him standing there looking at me with just as much love as I remembered and i smile, " Its time to take you home baby."

Reaching for his hand i take it and follow him into the light.

I'm coming home Matt. I'm coming home...
