Nathan:
Anya has been with Coop for two weeks and it was breaking me inside quickly. I’ve had feelings for her ever since I first saw her crying in the ally. I mean it wasn’t on the best occasion but even the she looked beautiful and her sobs tore me. Who could make such a beautiful creature cry like that? I sat at our usual table and saw Anya and Coop standing at the door. She held his hands and looked in his eyes intently. Her lips moved as she spoke and I could see the incredulous look on Coop’s face. He threw her hands down angrily and stormed out of the cafeteria. She hung her head and brought her hands to her face. Her petite body shook with every sob and I sighed. I stood up and walked over to her quietly. Once I stood in front of her, I wrapped my arms around her and let her cry into my chest.
“Shh. It’ll be okay, there’s no need to cry, Anya,” I cooed.
“He hates me,” she sobbed.
“I’m sure he doesn’t hate you, who could ever hate you?” I asked. The sobs stopped and she took a step back to look at me.
“My parents,” she said, tears continuing to go down her face. I pulled her back into a hug and rubbed her shoulder soothingly.
“Well they have some serious issues they need to work out,” I muttered. “Now come on, let’s go clean your face,” I told her while steering her out of the cafeteria.
“Thanks Nathan,” she said. I loved it when she said my full name. Usually I prefer Nate but I like it when she says Nathan.
“No problem, now go clean your face, I’ll go talk to Cooper,” I said while pushing her into the girl’s bathroom.
“Can you just wait for me out her?” she asked. I looked down into her red eyes and nodded.
“Sure,” I said.
“Thanks Nathan,” she said again.
“Any time, Anya,” I smiled before standing outside of the bathroom like a creeper. She came out of the bathroom minutes later, her face cleaned and her appearance fixed up a bit. I too her to the lunch line and bought her some lunch before sitting down at our usual table.
“Hey guys,” Vince greeted. “Where’s Coop?”
“He ran off,” I shrugged before sitting next to him and Anya sat next to me, picking at her food in a sad silence.
“What’s wrong with her?” Eric asked, his mouth full of food?
“Nothing,” she mumbled.
“Alright,” Eric replied skeptically. We ate lunch with a bit of small talk her and there before the bell rang and I went off to geography with only Anya in my mind.
Anya:
I can’t believe how angry Coop was, after all he did try to have sex with me every night for the past week. I should be the angry one not the one who’s crying. I was tired of putting up with him and his uncontrollable urges for sex.
*Flash back to last night*
We sat in the dark movie theater, watching some scary movie Coop had talked me into watching. I was horrified at the pictures that moved across the screen. I was cowering into him, my arms wrapped around his neck and my face hidden in his neck, our proximity dangerously close. His fingers ran through my hair and his fingertips grazed my jaw line. He grabbed my chin and lifted my face so that our lips met. Had it not been for the screaming in the background, I would have kissed him back but all I wanted was to get out of the theater. I pushed away from him but his arms had wrapped around me, trapping me in his arms. I tried to get away but I was weak compared to Coop. His hands trailed up my shirt and found their way to my bra strap. He fumbled with it trying to get it undone. While he was distracted, I pushed with all my might resulting in me pushing myself on the concrete ground with him falling on top of me in an awkward position. I glared at him.
